The 7/21/14 DIA/CRA Plan Update Review Committee meeting didn't have a quorum so action on the Review and approval of the CRA 7/10/14 Draft Plan didn't happen. Present was Melody Bishop the Chair and Craig Gibbs. No shows were Kay Williams and Jim Bailey. Another meeting should take place later in the week.

Lots of discussion. Councilwoman Lori Boyer was there and brought up a great point as she always does and that had to do with the Regional Transportation Center in the context of the LaVilla Catalyst Site. It's not there. Ennis your name was mentioned but I'm just thinking to myself that you rail guys need to show up at one of these meetings. OCK, you guys may want to start seeing what you can do with with the rail cars at Adam St. Station. Anyway Aundra is going to make a call to Brad and then everything should be Hokey Dokey.

Public comment was allowed and I shared with the committee about two pieces of active legislation 2014-305 and the new docking Rules and PENALTIES and 2014-426 the USS Adams. There is a Public Hearing on 426 at the Jacksonville city council meeting then both 305 and 426 will be in Waterways the next day. Let's hope that an amendment will allow commercial opportunity on existing and new docks, piers, launches in our new 4.8mile Waterway zone. How is our unauthorized purchase of the water taxis coming along? Pick and choose the winners and losers.

Will post more later.

Are you rail guys OK with a Regional Transportation Center not being in the CRA/DIA plan? Nobody was there from the media and councilwoman Boyer's comments seemed to catch everyone a bit unprepared. Would welcome any clarification to the interpretation.

Jacksonville Waterways Commission meeting today at 9am council chambers. A DIA action and city council ordinance 2014-426 the USS Charles F. Adams is on the agenda. Also 2014-305 new docking rules and PENALTIES. Anyone going?

One more meeting on this CRA and that will be in two days.

CRA/DIA meeting at 10 am. 3rd floor city hall. Anyone going? Will the Regional Transportation center be part of this?

Noone

The CRA/DIA 10pm committee meeting has been cancelled. Is the JTA Regional Transportation Center part of the CRA? Is one Authority telling another Authority to take a rail between the tail? DIA Board meeting 5 days out. How is the illegal unauthorized purchase of our Water Taxis coming along? What is the position of the DIA? Does the DIA have a position on 2014-305 new docking Rules and PENALTIES?

DIA Board meeting 1 hour out. Anyone going? Will there be any media there? CRA? Has anyone seen an agenda? Just got off the phone with Scott Wilson assistant to Don Redman my elected legislative representative District 4 and asked if Don was going to attach an amendment to 2014-305 that would allow commercial activity from the Waterway in this new yet to be voted on CRA/DIA zone and he doubts it. I asked Scott who is to blame and should be fired for the riding out of town of the Baltimore guys and the illegal purchase 2014-412 of the water taxis and he is going with Bowling. Scott feel free to jump in here at any time.

As an answer to above...the City didn't end up purchasing the boats...Harry Frisch did.

Since they were boats and not kayaks Noone missed the many stories that appeared about this in almost every media outlet in Jax...

WRONG!

Let's tell the story.

Chapter 1. Welcome to Jacksonville (Actionville)

How did we get there? The water taxi contract was allowed to expire. The Baltimore guys were told, that the RFP demanded, required, insisted, a 350 seat (butt) capacity. With the vessels that are here and what you have brought down from Baltimore you have 346 seat (butt) capacity. You missed it by that much. Get OUT! You are losers. We operate a tight ship here in Jacksonville. Does anybody know who hit the Mathews Bridge?

Doesn't matter! We are getting rid of you. INCENTIVES for you to relocate here and add to the future vibrancy as we tell the world to Visit Jacksonville especially Downtown on our Waterway. Not for you guys.

Anyone, continue with

Chapter 2.

Let's take a break from this story as we go right into a corruption update. Jacksonville Waterways Commission meeting 8/13/14 and let's hope that the meeting minutes will be for the 7/23/14 JWC meeting and not the 6/11/14 JWC meeting.

The 7/23/14 JWC had a presentation on the Water taxi and an in depth explanation by Tera Meeks along with the administration on the Illegal Unauthorized Purchase 2014-412 by the Executive Branch (Mayor) circumventing and defraudinding the Legislative Branch(City Council). 2014-305 and New docking Rules and PENALTIES was also discussed with concerns especially since 2014-560 our new CRA/DIA is up for a Public Hearing at the 8/27/14 meeting of the Jacksonville city council.
