Just FYI, the image for #42 is not correct. The art gallery/studio space will actually be the building to the left/north of the one shown.

And to the right/south of the building shown, interior construction on 'Serenity Tea Lounge' is underway.

Nice! Thanks for the correction. There are a lot of good things happening in Springfield these days.

Any word on the status of the 5th & Main senior housing development?

Nope. Since the architect & property owner aren't keen on returning calls about it, I assume it's dead, but who knows.

Think it was/is relying on the same or similar tax credits as the proposed senior development across from the court house and workforce housing proposal at the Ambassador Hotel.

Any news from those?

This was a great report. I didn't realize so much was going on business-wise in the Main Street area, it's very good to see. Thanks for the post.

From what I heard yesterday, construction on Unity Plaza starts next week

This is the first time I am hearing of Voodoo Lounge in the Landing. Any other info on it? I can't tell from the picture but is it in the old Twisted Martini Space?

M Shack San Marco appears to finally be open.

Looks like some good things are happening in the core.

I loved Earth Fare when I lived in Charlotte.  A smaller Whole Foods.  In fact, I think Whole Foods was trying to buy them a few years ago.

Can someone explain to me "work-force" housing? I know that's the plan for the old Ambassador Hotel property... but it makes me think it is for lower-income residents... which makes me think it will be cheaply renovated and not really fulfill its potential like 11E or Churchwell.

Where was this information? I didn't see it in the construction update. Thanks!
