Brevard: How to Kill All Aboard Florida?

Ocklawaha

It was a typo, the broadcast said JACKSONVILLE. Sadly, most of the news media couldn't find Jacksonville on a map while sitting on Miami Beach or poolside in an Orlando resort.

AAF has posted a demo video of what a trainset would look like while crossing a typical urban crossing. (stop watch included)

Hey Ock, can you name the trainset?

I'm not well-versed in this sort of thing, but do 16 one-way trips a day and a train the length of the mock-up in the above video all smell a little too ambitious? That seems awfully close to Acela Express frequency and train length (even longer, maybe?), but with a population along the route that's less than 1/5th that of the Boston-Washington megalopolis, shouldn't the frequency and/or train length reflect that... somehow?

So just saw article on Action News site that they located a document filed in St Johns county authorizing Florida East Coast for an option to sell property to All Aboard Florida in St John and Duval counties?  Perhaps this was already noted on one of the other All Aboard threads.

Thanks. I searched All Aboard before I posted and the other did not come up in my search. Sometime we overdo it on starting more and more threads on essentially the same topic. My opinion.

Hey MJ,

Perhaps we should aggregate all the AAF threads into a section under transportation.  I know I am the worse offender when it comes to AAF update volumes. Might help the hit rates now that its more public. Before the Treasure Coast press got involved MJ was usually #3 on Google in AAF search requests. I haven't checked Google Analytics lately.

The ones out there should all be under the Transportation group.
