Autobahn good to go
The city approved the permit Tuesday for Danis Construction LLC to remodel 80,000 square feet of space in Southside for the Autobahn Indoor Speedway.

Danis will remodel space for the indoor go-kart racetrack at 6601 Executive Park Court N. at a project cost of $297,642.

Bill Harris, general manager of the Autobahn Indoor Speedway in Jessup, Md., said in February the Jacksonville track probably will open in May.

The remodeling project includes the track and support areas as well as the lobby, board room, meeting space, common areas, conference space and the track waiting area.

The speedway company is based in Tampa.

Noticed that the Deerwood Lake Lofts website has changed the anticipated move in to July. So either they're just buying more time indefinitely or there actually is a plan to have it ready by then.
