I would hope the church minimum distance specifications were designed for suburbia, not downtown. As stated, with all the churches in the core, you're always near one.

I've always wondered if the churches were afraid of the competition from the bars.  Why else have such a restriction?

Of course it was fear of the competition - all that money being spent on booze instead of enormous buildings and all the other trappings of organized religion.

How about we be excited about its opening instead of all the worrying about the issue with zoning that they obviously were able to overcome.  We just always seem to focus on the negative here and it Jax.  Congrats to volstead.  Much success!!!!!
