Has Deegan ever been arrested for DUI before this? Does anyone know what he is doing to collect a paycheck? Has this arrest and subsequent voluntary firing affected his marriage? Has anyone seen Deegan around town?
Curious if Donna is available?  ;)

There has been no press release that he has lost his job.

Yeah, his Bio is still up on FCN:
http://www.firstcoastnews.com/inside/bios/article/51584/457/Tim-Deegan
and his picture is still up on the top of the weather page. However, he hasn't tweeted in almost a month:

I guess we'll see what happens.

It seems like the DUI itself wouldn't be enough for a Jacksonville fixure like Tim Deegan to be fired; Although the DUI combined with the infamous history of the Dan Hicken beef, who knows?

I know there's 0% chance of it happening, but how funny would it be if he got fired from FirstCoastNews and got picked up by ActionNews with Dan again?:)

^^^LOL, and ActionNews make a big production out of it, like they did with Dan. "Who's the new weatherman?" Showing a silhouette of a man. :)

Report from the Times Union:

QuoteFirst Coast News chief meteorologist Tim Deegan has resolved his driving-under-the-influence case by accepting 12 months' probation and agreeing to have his license suspended six months.
Attorney David Robbins, who represents Deegan, said the case was settled to everyone's satisfaction. Deegan pleaded no contest to the charge this week and will also have to perform 50 hours of community service, pay court costs of $1,031 and attend a DUI class.
"Throughout this ordeal Tim has been grateful for the outpouring of support from his family, friends and the viewing public," Robbins said.
Deegan was arrested last month in Jacksonville Beach. He has not been on the air since and it is unclear when, or if, he will return.
Eric Land, First Coast News president and general manager, declined to comment on Deegan's status Wednesday.
Robbins also declined to comment on Deegan's future.
During the Nov. 2 arrest, Deegan had three empty beer cans, an unopened beer and a half-full Budweiser under a ball cap in the console of his Jeep when he was pulled over about 7:15 p.m., according to his arrest report. He was stopped after passing through a four-way stop at Beach Boulevard and driving north on First Street,
His blood-alcohol level was .181 and .179, a police spokesman previously told the Times-Union. It's illegal to drive at .08.

Love the "declined to comment on Deegan's status Wednesday. Robbins also declined to comment on Deegan's future." Is it better to get a no comment or a "We are behind Tim 100%, he's our guy comment"?

Time will tell. FCN has had a lot of issues of late, Hicken, Deegan, maybe they should clean house and start over?
And, that $115 will save Jacksonville from financial ruin. - Mayor John Peyton

"This is a game-changer. This is what I mean when I say taking Jacksonville to the next level."

If I was Tim it would be nice to know they were behind me, but maybe you're right - perhaps it's time to clean house. Now that Dan is gone, there's no reason to watch FCN now.

I wonder how FCN does in ratings.

In my house it's CH4 for news & weather, ActionNews for Sports.

Tim and Donna should have been gone years ago after Donna and Tim got caught doing the horizontal mambo while they were both still married.

I find it odd that Dan, Tim, and Donna managed to work through the events of 15 YEARS ago, but so many in Jax didn't. Donna and Tim married, and Dan has long since remarried.

Tim screwed up, and he may, or may not lose his job, but it has nothing to do with what happened in the freaking 90s.

the horizontal mambo?

You do know that they are presently married to each other today, right?

Do you also think women should be kept indoors during their 'time'?

Or are you auditioning for the part of Mrs. Kravitz in a period remake of Bewitched?

They were caught having sex while they were still married to their former spouses.  If that isn't behavior that is unprofessional enough to get you fired I don't know what is.  The reason I would consider it unprofessional is because Dan, Donna's husband at the time was working at the station on the same newscast that both Donna and Tim were on.  Had Dan not been working for the station, I really wouldn't care what they did.
All of my information is second hand so I won't go into details,  but I would consider the person who shared it with me to be credible.

Well I would consider the person to be a gossip. which many people consider as bad as adultery.

What the heck stephen? I value your opinion but sometimes you seem argumentative just to be so. Every employer I know has a code of conduct, sleeping with another employee while married to yet another employee all at the same employer has to be a no-no as far as HR is concerned.

Even if it's not company policy, these people are in the public eye and should maintain a certain level of professionalism. What they did is not considered "social acceptable" by the masses. Do I care if people have open relationships? No. I don't care if people have orgy's, it's none of my business. But Dan was obviously not on board with it, thus, making Donna and Tim pretty crappy people.

And as others have stated, the sportscaster is well over this nonsense, quit brining his name up in this crap, why make him think about it all over again. Why judge anyway?

Exactly. It's ridiculous that people are still wringing their hands over a situation that the people involved most likely stopped caring about a long time ago. The only thing this situation showed me is that newscasters are human beings like anyone else. Crazy!
