I will say that's what really stood out last night.

I go to 95% of the games and usually stay until the clock ticks 0:00, but last night....  The crowd sort of died down for a bit in the 4th, but when the game started turning towards the Texans, the crowd got back into it 1,000%.

On another note:

I took someone else's son (8yo - not a sports fan) to the game for his birthday, and all I can say is I think we have another Jag fan for life.  Last night makes the cut of the top 5 of games I've been to, and funny thing is, 2 of the other ones were at night also:

Monday night, Steelers - 0 / Jags - 9
Monday night Ravens - 7 / Jags - 12

and now a Thursday night, Texans - 20 / Jags - 27

After getting to bed around 2:30 last night, I found it, strangely, much easier to get up for work this morning.  ;)

I said the same thing! Ive only been a season ticket holder for 3 years, this was the most exciting and fun game I have seen in person, or on TV. It kinda brought back memories from  1996. Just the vision of something great being built.

Awesome game last night! The weather was like Chamber of Commerce. Congrats to the hottest team in the AFC! I probably drunk one too many Twisted Teas last night, with this borderline hangover feeling, but it's all good. DTWD!!!!

The commentators called it a chamber of commerce kinda night too.  ;)

Great game, great crowd and awesome views of the city.

The HOU vs JAX TNF ratings were 4,633,000 (1.7). It was not the lowest watched TNF game (less watched the CAR vs TB in week eight). Seems like no other programming affected it dramatically, about what I expected.

I think the coolest thing I heard was from my friend in detriot today. Shes from here of course, but has lived in down in Clearwater and she is how in Michigan. Her and her boyfriend had a house packed full of people drunk ass hell rooting for the Jaguars. None of them were Jags fans, including her, but she felt that she needed to showcase her home town. After the game her boyfriend said " Im not a jags fan but I must say, I think they might have something good doing on down there."

Even reading comments on online, we have really shocked the hell out of a lot of people. We have a long way to go, but the arrow is finally pointing up and people are taking notice.

The star of the night was Bradley. The national media is raving about him. Pretty amazing turnaround since the bye.

Which makes me wonder....

Is the NFL schedule so freaking difficult that it takes a week of downtime to really assess a team and make significant changes?  What in the hell is it that these coaches do for 90+ hours a week that they don't have time to pick apart every flaw in the team?

I'm not saying their jobs aren't stressful and time consuming, I'm only saying I don't understand what typically goes on during a 'normal' week in the offices.  If your team has so many issues, shouldn't your really be trying to correct those more-so than gameplanning for your next opponent?  If you team can't execute, then the best laid plan in the world isn't going to help you out.

I think it depends on the situation. There is so much that goes into it. Our situation, for example, was a tangled mess from the beginning. With a roster that was completely torn down and rebuilt, I think it just took time to see what these players could do well, and what they didnt do well, and the coaches adjusted from there. Thats actually exactly what the defense did during the bye week. They looked at everything to see what the defense did well, and scaled everything back. On the offense, they are finding what they do well and finding creative ways to win.

On a side note what do you think about Alualu and his turn around. I know there will forever be the sentiment  of "he was a first round pick blah blah" but to his credit, he is flourishing in Bradely's defensive scheme. He's been all over the place and been one of the key factors in us being able to stop the run. Andre Branch has completely turned the corner as well.

I've been a STH since 2008 and this was one of the three loudest games I've attended, the others being the 2011 Monday nighter against the Ravens when the defense played like men possessed, the other being the Scobee 59-yard game.

The way things were going early this season, it was almost inconceivable that one of our games this year would have that kind of fan intensity.

With Branch, in the past few weeks it seemed like the defensive staff was finding better ways to put him in position to make plays through stunting, as he's struggled to bend the edge and turn the corner to get after the QB.  But on Branch's first sack against Houston, it looked like he indeed was able to bend the edge.
The tourist would realize at once that he had struck the Land of Flowers - the City Beautiful!

For the post-Coughlin era, I would also throw in the 2006 Monday Night game in Week 2, when we blanked the Super Bowl champion Steelers 9-0.

Alltel was a madhouse that night, and our defense was terrifying.

One of my favorite Jags games ever :)
