On the bright side, the Bucs won again, bringing us a little closer to the top pick.

If the draft happened tomorrow, what would you guys do?

Take a quarterback with the first pick?

Trade down?

Grab Clowney with the top pick and come back for a QB later in the draft?

I like Clowney but if a guy like Bridgewater or Manziel is seen as a potential franchise QB with the first pick the Jaguars have to take him. This team is in need of a franchise QB as desperately as any team I remember seeing. Gabbert/Henne is about as bad as it gets.

Im with you. Even without a pass rush, our defense is actually doing pretty well given the majority of them are rookies. Having a pass rush is not going to win games if we dont have an offense that can not score points. We are in DESPERATE need of a QB and an O-line that can block. They can wait to the 2nd round for a pass rusher. Our first pick needs to be a QB. Period.

I'm worried about the -QB pick at #1 is a must- draft strategy.  I will reserve judgement until after the Senior Bowl combine/workouts, but I don't see anyone in this year's draft that is a can't miss Luck/RG3 type prospect.   I was high on Boyd especially because he looks the part, but as the season has gone on I have thought he could have played a lot better.

We have missed so many times with our First rounders (old regime picks), we CANNOT afford to continue this trend.  Whoever gets drafted needs to be a can't miss franchise player whether it's QB, OL, or whatever position fills our needs.  The top-10 picks we have missed with QBs WRs DLs and that is how we are in the predicament of now.

I would like to see a trade back for multiple 1st rounders.  We have multiple holes to fill, it would be nice to fill them with a couple of first round talents.  I feel like the top 10 is more boom or bust than 11-32 spots.  Maybe I'm being too conservative.

The difference is, sad to say, is weve always traded back to draft QB's, WR's, ETc in the first round. No need to do that this time :) But I dunno, Im just sick of seeing this crap on the offense. A defense can make it without a pass rush, but a team can make it without an offense you cant even score points. Thats why Im high on the QB thing. Thats the only thing on my mind right now and I feel should be the teams #1 priority. But of course Im probably over reacting.

I hope they get it right this time... the last two "gotta have" first rounders were... um... disappointing.  Setting the franchise back at least a decade

Leftwich, Gabbert... cannot happen this time.
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

actually the last gotta have was andrew luck.  we don't have gene smith anymore so we can relax and not draft a  kicker int he first round.  we will see how it pans out, I dont think I will have to see another punter in the 3rd round (hes a weapon)!.

Browns, city reach agreement on 120 million stadium project!.  42 million in Taxpayers money!  Where's the outrage in Cleveland?

so basically, cities should asume that they will have to spend $100+ million every 10 years upgrading their stadiums...wow, what a great deal!

Mojo with the trademark 'Adrian Foster bow' after his TD, nice touch. Before Houston's field goal (first points) in the second quarter, the Texans called a timeout, and the ref announced "Timeout Tennessee" in Reliant Stadium! LOL, they booed the crap outta him, as there's still no love lost between those cities for obvious reasons.

Good Job. I am happy to see the team improving, defense in particular. Theyve been good all season, but had a terrible time stop the running. Once they fixed that its been game on the past three week. Not to mention we had a PASS RUSH today. And Im glad to see Andre Branch finally developing into to what we drafted him to be. With all the youth on defense, and the progress theyve made, I think we may finally have a coaching staff that knows how to develop players. We'll see how things play out in the long term, but I think we finally have a pretty decent coaching staff. And kudos to Bradley for keeping such a positive tone with the team. Anyways, Im out!  8)

^^^Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised that we got some pass rush against Houston's O-Line with those pro-bowlers. In 2014 draft news, TB won a game, and MIN won 1/2 a game LOL

Keith-N-Jax

Glad they ended that 5 game losing streak vs the Texans.

That definately good news. Even if ATL and Houston got ahead of us in the draft I wouldnt care too much. There are plenty of QB's to go around this next draft. Like someone stated before, there are no must haves at QB, but there are a ton of good ones. After seeing what an effective pass rush can do today, I am for going DE with the first pick. Because lets face, were going to have a rookie QB and an almost all rookies on the offense line. Were gonna need a defense that can keep us in the game when they arent playing well. I just want one more win in the division and thats it. The Colts have completely fell apart the past two weeks, and have been serve their asses,  so I see them as our next victim.  ;D

Speaking of DE, Jags are playing themselves right out of the Jadeveon Clowney sweepstakes.

I think he will still be there at #2 or #3

Looking at the way things are playing out, the teams that MAY get ahead of us in the draft )Houston, ATL, TAMPA, MIN), non of them are probably not going for DE with a top pick. Three of the four have QB issues as we speak.

The texans are fuckin cry babies. boo freakin who " we suck" " we are the worst team in the NFL" "were at the bottom of the AFC south now" Doesnt feel good down here does it? I dont know why I hate the Texans so much. I think because they have ALWAYS been so cocky, and when they started winning FINALLY it got even worse. So Im getting much enjoyment out of this. There is definately alot of "bull on parade" this season.  ;D
