Just being the ever 'eternal optimist'. Blackmon more than likely secured our #1 draft status (vs the Bucs) for next year. *sigh*

Teddy Bridgewater better be good.

The Jags need to dump Blackmon when they get the first chance possible.  I will not "Stand United" for a guy like him and why should I? He certainly has NOT stood united for the Jags, Jacksonville, or himself.

Rebuilding or not, instead of Khan, Caldwell, and Bradley constantly patting each other on the back for one of the very worst seasons in NFL history and dismissing every embarrassment as being part of the grand master plan, I would really love it if someone from the organization would come forward, acknowledge and genuinely thank the patient Jacksonville fans for paying millions of dollars to watch this squad play, apologize for crap like the Blackmon suspensions, the Brunell comments, the multi-year definition-of-insanity Gabbert/Henne juggling act, the never ending careless penalties, the HORRIBLE performance at Everbank this season, etc. All I'm hearing from the Jags is about how Blackmon needs help, and how this suspension is really going to hurt him. How about the tens of thousands of season ticket holders who handed over their hard earned cash in hopes of getting to see even one the Jags' first round picks from the last three years actually take the field. The ones who bankroll a team that, in November, still hasn't scored a touchdown in Jacksonville, have been outscored as a team by over 35 individual players, yet still smiles it up on the sidelines after 25 point losses while management ccongratulates itself for being positive and ignoring accountability. I'm as big a fan as anybody, but as a city, we deserve FAR better than what we've got this season. Every time you think it can't get worse, it has, and we're only just now at the midway point.

Why isn't Jameis Winston draft eligible already?

Too bad he isn't. He would be an ideal quarterback for this franchise.

But if the team gets the first pick, we will probably get Bridgewater. And most scouts I read rave about Bridgewater.

At least the Chamber of Commerce got a trip to London out of the deal.

I'm leaning towards either Marcus Mariota and Teddy Bridgewater for the Jags first round pick, but to be honest, all of these available QB's scare the crap outta me. There always seem to be those 'under the radar' guys, like Russell Wilson in the 3rd Rd, and Colin Kaepernick in the 2nd Rd that comes outta no where, with teams missing on them. There are very few 'bust-proof' QB's that you know they're very special, like an Andrew Luck; IMO Jameis Winston has those qualities also (like mentioned above, he won't be available in 2014 unfortunately).

^They can always trade down. They don't have to spend the #1 pick on a QB if they don't believe any are worth that selection.

There have been some under the radar types in recent years. But usually the top QB's have been first rounders. Peyton, Rodgers, Rivers, Flacco, Eli, Luck, RGIII, Cutler, Matt Ryan. You have much better odds hitting on a QB early.

I am more concerned with Mariota than Bridgewater. Bridgewater seems like the safer pick.

I honestly think Gabbert was so awful that he has alot of Jaguars fan terrified of taking another first round QB.

Have to find somebody who wants the pick.

Probably Philly.  They'll be looking for a QB to fit their new coach's system.  I can see him being interested in having his old college QB.

Typically during a Jags bye week, I'll usually be Jonesing crazy for some Jags football. I guess with this years miserable season, I'm actually okay with them not playing today; Hey, can we have an additional consecutive bye week? JK, I still love 'em though.

You can sit back and enjoy some competitive football on regular TV now.

I am with lakelander...if the Jags can trade with the Eagles....let them take Mariota and the Jags can take a player a few picks later plus get additional picks.

If they aren't sold on a QB this year, take an RB...let's be real....MJD is not a long term answer and I doubt he wants to stay in Jax anyway.
