When I was at Daliah's for trivia the other night there was a flyer for something Halloween related. I'm sure all the places around King&Post will be doing something.

I do miss the Club 5 Halloween Costume Party!

As far as new things happening in Riverside on All Hallows Eve, probably some muggings, stalkings, eggs on cars and houses, theft, burglary.....normal everyday occurrences.
And, that $115 will save Jacksonville from financial ruin. - Mayor John Peyton

"This is a game-changer. This is what I mean when I say taking Jacksonville to the next level."
-Mayor Alvin Brown on new video boards at Everbank Field

I know this is not on Halloween, but it is a Halloween related event on King Street.

Quote from email for event.

"The Jacksonville Jaycees Community Foundation dares you to join us on King Street in Riverside on October 26th for the Crawl of Terror! This costume contest pub crawl is guaranteed to satisfy your thirst for Halloween fun! The $10 participation fee includes drink specials at the 5 participating King Street bars and entry in the costume contest. Prizes will be awarded at 10pm to the best female costume, best male costume and best group costume (2 or more) based on crowd judging ($1 per vote). All funds raised will benefit the community services projects of the Jacksonville Jaycees."

The Jacksonville Historical Society is hosting a Halloween Party at the 1888 Florida Casket Factory, just next to Old St. Luke's. Not in Riverside, but sure close enough. Besides the (seriously) spooky venue, the event will raise vital funds for JHS, which just suffered a fire to its archives building and needs to raise vital funds for repair.  For more info:

BTW, STAY AWAY from any events at Annie Lytle; I was told by one of JAX's finest that they're going to place officers at the old school on Halloween night and issue citations to anyone who trespasses.

Slightly off topic but anyone know of a Halloween store where I can pick up a Guy Fawkes/V for Vendetta mask? Every store I went to wants you to buy an entire costume and I just need the mask.
