The Steelers are also 0-3, so we have some nice company, NY will be ready to fire TC soon I bet.

Packers just released WR Jeremy Ross... as long as he is not used as a kick returner he might be a good pick up...  8)
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

They may need Lewis to block though.

Yeah, you're right considering how crappy our O-line play is.

It's really all inside. Watch Monroe next game. He is playing well. And Joeckel had a good game Sunday.

Maybe not too fair and not too far off either, they talked about that on the radio, most of his yards are when the game is out of reach. Where is Shorts before then??

Most teams have atleast two or three receivers. The Jags only has him right now. There's a multitude of things working against us right now; Like you said, the O-line, receiver injuries. etc. I dunno what the radio is trying to get at (Shorts is a one year wonder or whatever), but lets atleast wait until Blackmon, and Lewis come back before deeming Cecil 'inconsistent' or whatever. Other teams always get the benefit of the doubt with unfortunate timing, and excuses are often made, but not the Jags....

Im started to get pissed. Why in the hell does everyone ride Shorts so hard. No matter what he does, everyone is like "yeah whatever". All of season everyone said. "Yea whatever he only got open because defenders were drawn off Blackmon." Now this year he's continuing the play well and its " Oh well it was against back up defenders" or " "it was garbage time so it doesnt count". Can we just say the kid is good. Not great or elite, can we atleast give him SOME credit for anything????? If I was Shorts I would feel like your damned if you do, and your damned if you dont.

And it is a true statement that a team usually needs more than one good receiver. Shorts of Blackmon on their own couldnt do it all. When you have only one threat at WR, thats easy to shut down unless you have a Jimmy Smith out there. Shorts have been smothered by opposing defenses since week one. Cut the kid some slack. I will admit that I dont believe he's a #1 go to receiver. I thinks he's a Keenan Macardell Type receiver. He does not have the best hands (dropped passes) and he is mistake prone at times. Even with all that said, he comes up with the big plays. Also, This is not directed towards anyone, just a general rant.

If anyone is looking for tix for the game this weekend, I've got 4 together in section 105 Row H. This is on the home side around the 15 yardline 8 rows up from the field. If interested, shoot me a PM :)
And though I long to embrace, I will not replace my priorities: humour, opinion, a sense of compassion, creativity and a distaste for fashion.

I feel our coaching staff is awesome. Bradely is very good with young players and his approach is working. Im positive we will not have any stories about him "losing the locker room".

I'm interested in what this opinion is based on.  I like Bradley too but why do you think this staff is "awesome."  What has happened on the field after three games and four preseason games that these guys should be considered awesome?  And how do you figure Bradley's approach is working???

By keeping them level headed. When you go through things like this, its easy to lose your team and they just give up, like Mularkey lost the locker room last year. And Lewis even admitted some players openly admitted " I dont wanna be here anymore." on last season. This coaching staff was handed a pile of shit to turn into gold. Given the cards they are dealt, I think they are handling the situation fine. Weve blamed coaching for all the Jags problems for too long. Its time for the Players to accountable.

From today's T-U:

QuoteThanks to Bradley, no hint of dissension on winless Jaguars

Unlike another winless NFL team 200 miles southwest of Jacksonville, you don't hear reports about the Jaguars having any rifts being traced to the head coach's abrasive style or his conflict with the starting quarterback.

Despite the Jaguars being 0-3 and not having a chance to win any of those games, there are no whispers of dissension coming from their locker room, as is being talked about with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

While Greg Schiano is trying to calm the waters in Tampa, the Jaguars resumed practice Wednesday after a 45-17 blowout loss to the Seattle Seahawks feeling as upbeat as when training camp began.

Players smiled during warmups as head coach Gus Bradley came by to shake their hand or share a word of encouragement. The Jaguars, easily the worst team in the NFL based on their performance so far, don't appear to be the least bit dismayed after being outscored 92-28 in three games.

"Give credit to Gus [Bradley], he's captured all of our attention," said veteran linebacker Paul Posluszny. "I think everybody completely and fully trusts him. We go off his example, his personality, his excitement and energy. That's a huge driving force for the entire team.

"I think everybody absolutely believes in the plan Gus has. We have to put in the time, effort and energy to get where we want to be."

Bradley's consistent message – not worrying about wins or losses, focusing on the everyday process of rebuilding the franchise from the ground up – has resonated with the players.

It doesn't matter whether you talk to a 10-year veteran like Jason Babin or one of ten rookies on the roster, the Jaguars refuse to get discouraged by their third 0-3 start in team history (1995, 2003).

"In the NFL, things work weird, you can lose three games and turn right around and win three or four," said defensive tackle Roy Miller, acquired as a free agent from the Buccaneers. "The best thing we can do with young guys is positive reinforcement of the little things they're doing. The biggest thing is build the young guys up. I think Gus is doing a great job with that.

"We're just inconsistent defensively. One guy messes up here, one guy there. You see spurts of guys playing on the same page, but we have to be consistent beginning to end."

The Jaguars aren't using any excuses, but another factor in the lopsided losses is depth lost because of injuries. They're getting starting quarterback Blaine Gabbert (hand) back for Sunday's home game against the Indianapolis Colts. Tight end Marcedes Lewis (calf) is expected to see his first action this season, and starting cornerback Alan Ball (groin) is a wait-and-see proposition.

With receiver Justin Blackmon not coming off his four-game suspension until next week, the Jaguars won't play their first game with their projected starting lineup until at least Week 5 against the St. Louis Rams.

"I don't want to give anybody the wrong idea, nobody is satisfied with the results we're getting," said Ball. "But one thing we can control is the results have no effect on our attitude. The only way to get better is to focus on the things we're getting better at.

"There are hard times in every season. Anything can happen week to week. We're going to get things going in the right direction."

The Jaguars could be waiting longer than most winless NFL teams to get in the victory column. But if you're looking for a whiff of division, you're in the wrong locker room.

Apparently you guys are pretty close to the true market value. Thought I had a buyer until they realized  out the tickets are $70 each ;D

yea, when I had PSLs to the Panthers in Charlotte, there were some games where I had the same thing happen

Between the 0-3 start, the Mathews Bridge closure, and the fact that tickets are going on Stub Hub for as little as $10, I think we're in for a pretty sparse crowd on Sunday :/

after this game, only one home game in Oct. and then one in Nov.
