True!

QuoteWe'll know the answers to those questions soon enough when you measure it against the NFL's timetable.  It wasn't that long ago in "NFL time"  that San Francisco, New Orleans, Baltimore and even New England were lowly bottom feeders in the league.

One quote I live by since becoming an NFL fan is that, " Every great team was once BAD."-Duvaldude08  8)

With all that said above maybe a good idea not to watch the next few games. Team was gutted, so we know its going to be long season, so you can put your teal pom poms away.

I-10east

^^^ That's the spirit Keith, just give up when things get tough; Don't support them until they turn things around, well said....SMH...

Keith-N-Jax

Spirit?? I spent $200 on a ticket to see the Jags play in London, plus hotel and other expenses, don't tell me about spirit. When people say bad things it doesn't mean they don't support the team, SMH THE JAGS ARE REALLY BAD, there's nothing wrong with saying that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I-10east

^^^Well it sounds like you definitely care with the UK trip and all, but you're kinda sending mixed messages with quotes like "good idea not to watch the next few games". If cheering my team no matter what record they are means I'm 'waving teal pom-poms' then that's the case. A "Go Jags!!" isn't an equivalent of "We are realistically gonna run the table with a 14-2 record". Anytime there's a slither of positive energy on MJ, someone's always here to spoil it, no matter what the case is, guaranteed. Just like the typical 'Watch our leaders screw it up" posts. Negative posts with people saying the same crap over and over again gets more attention than positive posts. Sorry for going off course and ranting a lil.

too bad they can't blackout the massacre on Sunday.

I-10... We do suck bro. You know Im the internal optimise and always find a positive.. But we suck bad. Our defense shockingly has been hanging on, but then again they haven't had a real challenge yet. We suck man. I still love them and want them to get better, but we blow right now.  8)

I never said that we wasn't bad. We have alot of young players with potential; That alone should be reason enough as a fan to watch them play, regardless of a point spread. I'll be watching that Seattle game, as if it was any game that we was expected to win in the nineties, and damn right I'm rooting for us to win it; Maybe some of yall aren't crazy like me.

I'll watch every game no matter how bad it gets, and while my expectations were low this year (and are lower after the first two games), I do look forward to seeing a lot of the young guys develop.  E.g., I didn't enjoy Sunday but I did enjoy Cyprien.

I have some guys on Seattle's defense in one of my fantasy leagues.  I'll be watching to see how many points they can rack up.

Im actually enjoying all of drafts picks Cyprien, Gratz and Sanders in particular. Sanders has been in put a tough situation, ( fourth round pick, starting the season as our #2 receiver in a repleted receiving core),however I think he is doing well given where we drafted him. Once Blackmon comes back and we put Sanders in the slot I think he will be more productive and more comfortable.  Havent seen enough of Robinson to form an opinon. However Mr. First round pick hasnt look to great. I understand any rookie getting adjusted to the NFL, but he's struggling. I dont know if hes getting used to the speed of the NFL or what, but he has to stop letting defenders run past him  ;D

I knew people were blowing this out of proportion and I do believe the TV station. I was also confused when I was trying to find the game on Sunday in our own market. The kept talking about the Broncos vs The Giants and  I was like "huh?". I actually turned the station a few times and then flipped back and seen the game, which was confusing. To me this show how stupid the media is and how they try to spin any, and everything to make us look bad (well, worse than what we  already make ourselves look at this point  ;D )

Orlando TV station now denies apologizing for having to show Jaguars game

On Sunday, the Orlando CBS affiliate apologized via screen crawl for having to televise the Jaguars-Raiders game instead of Manning Bowl III.

Now, in lieu of apologizing to the Jaguars for apologizing about the Jaguars, WKMG in Orlando claims it never apologized.

In a Facebook message, WKMG General Manager Skip Valet says the station never issued an apology for having to show the Jaguars game.

"Friends, please don't believe the fictitious nonsense you read on the lazy blogs," the message begins. "They aggregate news, spin it to be funny, and don't bother to do any real reporting, even the simplest step of calling someone. Below is the truth."

The truth (at least WKMG's current version of it) is that the station felt compelled to issue a clarification because fans were confused by the constant promotion of the Broncos-Giants game during the 1:00 p.m. ET game televised locally by CBS.  (You know, the promotion that included an express mention that some viewers would be getting Jaguars-Raiders instead.)

"Our viewers were confused and angry," Valet said. "We clarified why we were broadcasting the Jaguars' game and apologized to viewers who may have been confused by the constant 'Manning Bowl' promotion."

Still, the message that was placed on the screen didn't make clear whether folks were upset because they possibly wouldn't see the Jaguars game, or because they were being led to believe they possibly wouldn't have to see the Jaguars game.

"In accordance with NFL policy, WKMG must carry all Jacksonville Jaguars' away games.  We apologize for any inconvenience," the in-game screen message stated.

That doesn't sound like an effort to make folks who feared they'd have to watch Broncos-Giants realize that they'd get to watch the Jaguars.  Instead, that sounds like an effort to make folks who wanted to watch Broncos-Giants understand why they couldn't.

Making it sound even more like an effort to explain why Broncos-Giants wouldn't be shown is the quote given at the time to the Associated Press (that lazy blog) by Valet himself:  "I know it's frustrating, but as a CBS station in this market you have to carry the away games."

By using the words "we apologize for any inconvenience," WKMG necessarily was apologizing for something. Instead of apologizing for making the Jaguars look like a lesser option, WKMG has opted for a strident and dismissive denial of reality.

Which rarely works out well for the person doing the strident dismissing
