Tebow has no job. jaquars have no quarterback. Jags are not going to draw crowds if they keep losing. Tebow draws crowds. Ergo, if he is going to fail, let him fail at home, he certainly could not do worse than what we have. Not being a coach, I don't understand the reluctance to have a guy who led the Broncos to the playoffs when he was playing full time. Of course , we could lose every game and get Johnny Touchdown as our first draft pick next year. Because even in his "playoff" season, he completed 46% of his passes and lost 4 of his last 5 starts after the league caught up to him.

Because in the past two preseasons, he's alternated between throwing wobbly passes directly into the ground and throwing them into crowds of defenders, when not taking sacks from holding the ball too long (four sacks on five plays in one game!).

Because despite all this, he has a cult following of people who insist that he's a gifted passer and who scream and shout that they'd go so far as to support the Jaguars' relocating if they didn't sign Tim.

Gabbert and Henne are not good, but replacing them with Tebow is like replacing one totaled car with another totaled car while a herd of people incessantly follow you around shrieking "That car's in perfect running order!  Give it a chance!"

Why aren't the other 31 teams lining up to sign this "proven winner"?

Don't sweat it...   even though you're not a coach, a GM or an owner of an NFL franchise, you don't have to understand it.  I'd side with those 96 experts.  There's only 96 of them employed today, and all 96, to a man, don't think he's worth 1 of their 53 roster spots.  There's nothing more to understand.  If 100% of the decision makers in a certain industry don't think that a person is worth hiring, it's usually a pretty good sign that that person doesn't have the qualifications necessary to do the job.

He may have been a one of a kind college QB, but he's, apparently, not a 1 in a 1,696 NFL player.  You don't have to understand it, just accept it.

I do have to wonder though how much of the Tebowmania is truly fan driven. I believe it is more media putting it out there because they know fans will adamantly say no. I don't see these Tebow-mongers at games, at rallies, heck even watching the away games in bars I haven't met someone who follows NFL and truly wants Tebow. Whereas on a slow news day every sports writer/blogger/announcer knows that if you mention him and the Jaguars you have a good shot of getting on Googles most searched that day.

Do you guys think we can convince the Redskins to give up Rex Grossman? He played for UF like Tebow and he has playoff experience like Tebow and he's even better than Tebow because he's been to the Super Bowl! I don't know what Grossman's religious affiliation is, but whatevs!
