Glad to hear they're coming, albeit I must say, kinda odd location? Didn't know there was a huge demand for this stuff at that area of University.

Yeah, it does seem kind of odd, especially since they're tearing down most of the building. I guess they figure their customers are a pretty broad demographic. Hope they don't have Whole Foods prices.

great interstate access....which means they can easily satisfy regional demand

and before someone mentions walkability, I have a question....when was the last time you walked to the store to pick up a week's worth of groceries?

It is an odd location but looks like the construction work is coming to an end.  I have heard a lot of good things about the quality of their meat and produce not to mention their prices.

It would be nice to see more specialty markets here in town. I only hope this doesn't drastically impact Carroll's meat market & produce on Old St. Augustine Road & University.

Historical note - the building was originally a Valle's Steakhouse Restaurant.

I can remember when it was a JP Pepprcorns.

Why does everyone think this is such an odd location? There's a BUNCH of houses in the neighborhood:

and the Publix down the road seems to be doing well too.

Just the amount of traffic that drives by every day is pretty good. About 42,000.

It's better than what has gone up between 95 and Philips on University. Strip Club, shooting range-gun shop, pawn, vacant lots left over from 70's era hotels, abandoned gas stations.

Finally made a visit the other day and was thoroughly impressed. I'd be thrilled with more of their stores throughout the city. (Not gonna happen just expressing my satisfaction)

Their prices are excellent and the quality of the meats and produce I have purchased has exceeded anything I have bought at any of the supermarkets locally.  Even better than most of the stuff I have gotten from the farmers market.

Its okay. I tried it out and got some vegetables and a few meat products. I live out in Orange Park, so I will not be making any special trips as it is in a awkward place to try and get into coming from my direction. Definitely more locations are needed.

Totally impressed with this place as well.  Good selection of organic produce, excellent prices and quality.  I wish there were more places like this that focused on doing a couple of things really well rather than a lot of things with mediocrity.

Beautiful produce.  Good selection.  Good prices.  And interesting stuff too.  I mean, how many supermarkets carry octopus, goat, duck, and lamb?  Ditto the comment about the location.  There are lots of nice little middle class neighborhoods right off University.  I know because I grew up in one of them a few blocks from this store. You just don't see them from the road.
