Sadly this is a game of 2 halves. As we saw last season, we may be leading at halftime only to come out and lay down for the opponent. This team lacks the killer instinct. Maybe it is youth or the way the wind blows, but they need to keep their foot on the throat of the opponent for 60 minutes on the field!

Yeah, it's called a preseason game! When one team have their starters playing (the Jets) and the Jags having their seconds, and thirds out there in the second half....Don't put to much stock in the final score of a preseason game, now a regular season game, yes. In most preseason games, starting players at the end of the first half is a more telling story than the final score; With all of them Ham N Eggers who won't make the team deciding the final score.

^^^I can't disagree with the Stache's son. In that preseason game (NYG vs IND) Ross tipped up a pass (which should have been intercepted) that ended up in the hands of Reggie Wayne for a TD.

His wife, Sanya Richards Ross in the first episode of her reality show "Glam & Gold" she said to her husband on camera after the Patriots game along the lines of "They(Jags) are losers, and you (Aaron Ross) are a winner". Really? So much for all or one, and one for all with the team. Now maybe that's typical football wife talk that's okay to say off camera, but she shouldn't have said that on camera. After me, and thousands of other Jags fans gave her a standing-O, and she says that crap to my team? Screw them!!! As much as I love my country, I'll route for a North Korean runner to beat her in Rio 2016. I can't route for these people anymore.

Coach announced this morning that Blaine Gabbert will be the official starting QB, which was expected, however he will be out for rest of preseason due to a hairline fracture to his thumb.  No surgery required.

I swear I hate cant wait until the regular season start. Even the times unions is pulling dumb stories out of their butt just to have something to talk about. For example, Ryan had his "guessing the 53 man roster" article, and stated he thinks the Jaguars will keep 6 running backs. Huh? Even if you include the fullbacks, we would not keep anymore than 4 (2 runningacks and 2 fullbacks) Robinson is listed as an OW so technically hes not counted in that equation. And he's predicted that TOBAIS PALMER will make the roster as a receiver.............. The same guy that muffed three punts and has done nothing else in the preseason? I think this dude is smoking crack on the job.

And theyve reached out to a dr allllll the way in LA just talk about Gabbert's injuiry... Like WTF? Get a damn life.  ::)

I don't wanna sound like a 'know it all' psychic or whatever, but after Gabbert's two successful drives the lead to ten points, in that 2nd preseason game, I honestly thought (and said out loud) that they should take Gabbert outta there, and put in Henne. Now if it was the 3rd preseason game, I would agree with him still being in there. Now if Gabbert had a bunch of unsuccessful drives (like the first game) I would agree with him being in there for an extended time.

I don't care who's the starting QB (elite or not), after several successful drives in the preseason, there's no reason for a QB to still be out there playing in a game that doesn't matter, only bad things can happen. I don't buy that 'more practice in the preseason' crap after some successful drives just to unnecessarily further 'prove yourself'. That hand to the helmet injury is way too common, for precautions not to be taken in the preseason.

No man, you need to sit next to him so you can plant a foot in his ass when he starts getting all whiny.  :D

^^^I sh*t yall not, I said out loud that they should've took out Gabbert after that second successful drive before the injury occurred. I'm sorry, I tried to hold it in, but I couldn't. LOL So I won't have a rep of being 'crunk & whiny' all of the time, I'll take the positive route, and say luckily Gabbert will not miss a significant amount of time (if any) in the regular season. :)

I can see us making it to the playoffs and losing in the AFC championship and you saying "Who cares we made it to the championship? We didnt make it to the superbowl!" LMAO

^^^Oh, you must be talking about when I said that being a Super Bowl bridesmaid (loser) is overrated. Dang, I said that a long time ago, that thing still irking you? LOL Notice no one mentions any MLB, NBA, or NHL bridesmaids, only NFL, with that 'only teams the didn't made it to the Super Bowl'. Wanna know what's a more relevant question IMO? How bout 'The only teams that didn't win a SB? the only reason why people say that "teams the haven't been to the bowl" crap is because there are only a few of them (which is an aberration BTW) unlike other major league sports.

I'm not saying this only because the Jags never made it to a SB BTW. If the Jags made to to the SB, and lost I'll be like "Good job guys, we had a great season, and hopefully we'll get to the pinnacle, and win it all next time". That's definitely not the time to break out the ticker tape, and champagne by no means. Successful season, but you didn't get the ultimate prize, the Lombardi trophy.

You kinda proved my case for me when you talked about being a AFC or NFC champion, a BIG difference than being a Super Bowl champ. Bottom line, people remember champion teams like the 72' Dolphins, 92' Cowboys, and the 01' Patriots; No one talks about the 81' Bengals, 93' Bills, or the 03' Panthers, unless they are shown on NFL Films getting beat by better teams.

^ No one remembers a loser.

The 2013 San Antonio Spurs would have been remembered forever if they beat Miami in the NBA Finals this year.

Now, they're only a footnote in history.

That said, I will GLADLY take a Superbowl loss for the Jags this season :D
