Good job, Springfield! I suggest you give free tickets to all members of the City Council so they can see how historic preservation rejuvenates cities and enhances quality of life. Grass roots efforts like yours are always the most successful.

Been curious about these tours.  Are they worth the $33/$58?  Seems strep to me for a tour.

I'm not considering it comes with a bike?  The site says $33 with your own bike and $58 without for the Springfield tour.  I will admit that I missed reading the discounted and free rates in the article.  Still curious about what people think about it.  Anyone been?

Great bike tour today.  Beautiful homes, churches and gardens on the tour.  Springfield is a gem of Jacksonville.

Had a great first day of the Tour today. Lots of people. Lots of bikes. Lots of walking (and shade, thank goodness).

Tour starts tomorrow, Sunday at 1pm and last ticket is sold at 5pm.

Tickets are $15 at the door, but if you are interested and going, PM me and I'll see what I can do. : )

I dont go on tours every yeart but I have been to a few of them. I walked it and it felt like more people than last time I went a couple years ago. My suggestion would be to have more refreshments available if it is hot outside.

I'm simply devistated that I missed this bike tour this passing year.  Will definitely make the 2014 Bike Tour de Historic Springfield!!!

Have never heard of this one. It sounds awesome, will participate in it for certain in 2014!
