Hello, my name is Hunter, I am a freshly recruited volunteer.Tim Got with my partner and I which recently started a lawn care business and inquired about our services for the property. Being born in Jacksonville I have known about this school for quite some time and would love to be a part of the effort to help save it. We were able to get down there today and do a good mow and weedeat. We our planning our next efforts around getting all the piles of debris curbside including the palm stumps piled up on the front side of the building. Its amazing to see all the work you guys have already done, the property has changed drastically from some of the past pictures I saw. I look forward to meeting all the volunteers involved. Take care.

Hunter, and his friend Jeremy are our two most recent volunteer recruits.

If you go by the PS4 property, you will notice a meticulously ,fresh-cut lawn ... the School's grounds and the adjacent lot at the corner of College/ Roselle.

Sincere thanks to Jeremy and Hunter of Arlington Lawn and Garden Care , who have selflessly donated their time and has done a fantastic first cut for the season of the School's lawn, working around remaining debris piles.

If you need lawn / garden care,  Jeremy and Hunter are the guys to call.

Many thanks again, guys !!!

This weekend at PS#4..

We removed the pile in the School's front yard of a portion of the remaining failed auditorium roof as well as more debris in an area near one of the Stairwells,  trash in the front yard.   There were 3 of us and it was pouring rain ,but we pressed on anyway.

It is heartening to review in pictures, the profound progress we have made in  10 months.

The amazing volunteers for the last six years and those presently, have continued to make this happen.

Heartfelt thanks, to my amazing volunteer team :) !  !  !

Really, Megatron?  You'll be back in jail before it ever gets torn down.

LookyLou

Timkin- I sent you a PM last night regarding construction help. We are hoping to help with material needed!

Timkin

Thanks LookyLou... and will keep that in mind.   Our group is cleaning up the property and the building.  Another entity is looking into development.

Replied to your PM.

Wednesday ,  a group of High School young men and women , donated one of their Spring-break vacation days to come lend us a hand.... Continuing to remove debris from the Auditorium which is now clearly showing signs that cleanup is under way.    These young folks did a outstanding job.

Today, Patsy, Autumn and I , moved their stuff from outside of the School's steps, to the curb.   I am still in awe at the accomplishment of this group.

And we resume at our regular time on Saturday.

Hey Tim,

Looks like I just missed you today. Stopped by to see the progress at about 4:30pm and found two guys dragging stuff to the street. Never saw them before. Took some pictures. You guys have been busy alright. I didn't trip over anything as I looked around. Hopefully, you'll leave a little for me to do when I get to work at Annie Lytle again.

Timkin

Not sure who that was, Ralph..   Patsy, Autumn and I worked there til about 2ish..

I would love to say, we will be finished with the project at the next cleanup..  ;)

Whenever your schedule allows you to hit it again,  we need you !!! :)

Resume Saturday morning . :)

Hey, Ralph!  I think you saw our scrappers.  Henry and his group came by Weds. and asked permission to haul away some of the debris we had put on the street.  They took a lot.  They were there yesterday when Autumn and I arrived and were hauling away more things.  They had been there Thursday LOOKING FOR us to help with the haul.  They are now going inside and moving things out.  That includes the roof and any thing they can recycle.  I know they were supposed to come back around 2.  So, you most likely got pics. of them.  We also were visited by our local law enforcement who talked with Tim.  No problem with them,

We do what we can with the resources that we have.  More progress than we could have imagined has been achieved in a little over a month.  It makes me proud to be a member of the group...

And Me... I need a tutorial again on uploading the pictures to this site and will get them here. I think some of you may be surprised.

As for Annie Lytle.. Never do I remember the front hall , hall in front of Auditorium, Both Admin offices, and Id say, 60% of the Auditorium  CLEARED of debris..  Cleaning the Auditorium floor down to concrete.. Eventually will clear flooring of all halls , rooms, etc, down to concrete. .. Necessary to do renovation .

If our volunteer group continues, it is possible that we could have the entire building cleaned out.. that is free of all vandalized materials scattered everywhere, Holes to Basement sealed, and the Building decently secured by the end of Summer.  Wish us luck. !!!  Thanks so much .
