Starbucks closing 600 stores in the US

There are 3 stores closing in Jax and 2 in Orange Park area.

Due to the fact that I don't whether or not the  local Starbucks employees have been notified of the closings, I do not want to give the list of the exact locations quite yet.

I will confirm 11 E is closing since that is out of the bag.  JTB/Philips is safe (not closing).

The other Starbucks closing in Jacksonville is also a very new location within the 295 loop.

The 3rd location closing in Jacksonville is South of the I-295 loop.

Two location will be closed in the Orange PArk area.

I'm shocked that all four of the SJTC Starbucks locations will remain open.  Here's the official closing list:

1. 3055 CR 210 W (Johns Creek retail center at CR 210 & Nature Walk Parkway)

2. 8060 Philips Highway (Philps & Baymeadows)

3. 11 East Forsyth Street (Downtown)

4. Orange Park Mall (1910 Wells Road)

5. 410 Blanding (Kingsley @ Blanding Blvd)

6. 1907 Wells Road (Wells @ Blanding)

I had heard that starbucks was actually given the space for free over a certain amount of years.  I'm guessing that was bad information?

no.  it was good information.

As already noted in this thread, its going to be interesting to see how the company breaks this lease without heavy penalties.

I asked today. I was told, they'll write a check.

Maybe a local operation like Fuel or Uncommon Grounds can make it work there.
