Aura Thai was the worst!

Went in for Massaman curry had 2 bites and walked out (paid my bill of course).. real disappointed.

Lemon Grass or Thai Room would be awesome

Doña Marias is pretty bad too... the service and food quality is poor

I once ordered sweat tea and instead of sugar they added salt.. the waiter didn't even apologize hahaha

So, based on 1 time, and only 2 bites at that, you left? Not trying to snipe, but not the most reliable of opinions, it would seem.
I always thought the food was awesome.  Best peanut sauce in Jax.

My food sat in a 3" layer of grease.. that was enough for me not to come back.

And though I long to embrace, I will not replace my priorities: humour, opinion, a sense of compassion, creativity and a distaste for fashion.

I'll take an Indian Restaurant in Riverside please.

fair enough. i would say, though, that must have been an off night. we used to eat there all the time, and, as conniseurs of all of jax's thai restaurants, i think i can fairly assert that it was really good. in fact, we ate there so often we became friends with the owner, and hence my taking umbrage at criticisms.

Quotemust have been an off night

It's possible

Thai food almost always comes at a premium price and I felt would be silly to shell out $$ and be disappointed a second time.

Have recommendations for other Thai restaurants you like in town?

I just ate at Lemongrass on Baymeadows for lunch today...always good, and at $9 for lunch, not a bad deal either.  Pom's in San Marco is pricey, but great.  I also like Thai Palace on San Jose in Mandarin.

My personal fave: Taste of Thai on University Blvd. on the Southside. The decor and ambiance are kind of lacking, but the food is AWESOME. If you go, don't be turned off by the fact that it is in a strip mall-- the food is fantastic and if you like HOT thai, they can make some f'ing HOT food.
Lemongrass is really good. Pom's is good. Blue Bamboo on Southside blvd has some thai inspired dishes taht are also really good.  Thai Room at the beach is good, too.

I love Taste of Thai... I'm huge fan of their spice levels.
I've had Lemongrass and Pom's.. I believe they're owned by the same people.?
I prefer LG because of the affordability.

Thai room out at the beach is my favorite so far.. massaman curry their would be my last meal request.

I'll have to try Blue Bamboo

Thai Palace off Sanjose in Mandarin is really good.. have you been?

I still hold firm that Pattaya Thai is the best in jax as far as taste, price, and authenticity. It used to be off Atlantic near Craig Airfield but moved to Baymeadows a few years back.

That would be really great!

My favorite flavor from Lee's Ice cream is their  Death By Chocolate. All the chocolate lovers here should try it out.
I don't believe in signatures!
