Hey is scalping a pretty ok way to get a ticket for next Sunday?  My FIL wants to see the Pats and stubhub and the NFL ticket exchange don't have anything for under $100 for the lower bowl (people be crazy).  In Charlotte, we had a problem with people selling counterfeit tickets.  Is there that problem here?

There's always people selling tickets around the fairgrounds. I wouldn't expect to pay any more than 40 or 50 dollars for a non-club seat

Didn't catch the game, was on the road. How were Shorts and Blackmun?

They both had a decent game. Shorts had 100+ again and Blackmon had 93. Blackmon HAD a TD but it was negated because of a stupid penalty.

I've never had a problem with that. But then again there's a guy that I recognize that's there EVERY game. So if I'm ever in need of a ticket, I get it from him. I trust him 100%. He's there every season buying and selling tickets in the fairgrounds.

Not so fast! The Pats have a massive fan base and FL in December is pretty nice gettaway. I listed my tickets (lower bowl 142) on the NFL exchange and sold them for over double face value.
And though I long to embrace, I will not replace my priorities: humour, opinion, a sense of compassion, creativity and a distaste for fashion.

Yeah you're right Shwaz. Me personally, I'd still try my luck the day of. People said that the Jets game was gonna be hard to find tickets but people were still out selling tickets at the tailgate. I guess it just comes down to if you feel comfortable enough waiting until the day of or getting a guaranteed ticket thru Stubhub, TicketXchange or Ebay or something like that.

Its just funny how we come back and whine about the same thing every week. Its obvious we have problems and its obvious we probably wont win another game.  ::) anyways, Im in evaluation mode just as the team probably is and here's what I seen today.

1.) Mistakes and Penalties have killed us all year. ESPECIALLY on our defense. I think everyone has gotten into panic mode and lost focus and they are just trying to do too much.

2.) Cecil continues to shine and Blackmon continues to grow. Jordan Shipely seems to be a pretty good addition as well. He just might stick around.

3.) Our offensive line is very offensive  ::)

4.) Given the circumstances, Henne has been excellent. He's had his moments, just as any QB but given the state of this team Im shocked he has faired as well as he has.

5.) Mathis needs to retire. No disrespect to him, but that injury last season has ended his career. I feel bad for him because hes our only hometown guy on the team and was one of the best players on our team for a very long time. But I think his career is closing in, quick.

The sky may be falling, but in the NFL that can turn around any given sunday. Im actually excited and looking forward to some changes in teh offseason and the team bouncing back.

( I think Im one of the most level headed football fans I know  ;D )

You are.
Penalties could have been a factor in yesterday's loss. Had we gone up 10-3 the outcome could have been different.
I don't believe we are without talent as you pointed out.
We just may have a couple a really good receivers after all.
I believe Maurice will be a strong player for a few more seasons but I'm not sure Chad Henne is the long term answer at QB.
I believe Gabbert is the kind of QB that needed more time learning before being thrown into the fire and it may have ruined him. I really do think he has potential but who knows.
The hardest thing for me as a big fan is I'm having problems watching the 4th quarter of most of our games. By then the majority have been decided and 4th quarter is an exercise in frustration. Of course there have been some very good plays in comeback attempts but like yesterday too often there weren't.

By the way the "glass half empty" side of me thinks were will suffer one of our 5 worse losses ever this week. After watching last nights game I even feels stronger how bad it will go. We have been incomprehensible terrible at home this year and what Brady did in about 10 minutes or so to SF inspired dread. Granted they lost but imagine what he will do to us.
Does anyone know who has the softer schedule this year us or KC?
My view now is if you're going to have the worst season of your history at least finish 1st in some category and that could at least be the 1st overall pick.

We may slightly have them beat.  I'm not sure how this kind of thing is determined.

I dont care either way. Ive gotten use to being embarassed so I have become numb at this point. We havent beat the patriots since about 1998 so I was looking forward to a lost anyways. But as far as the team goes, I believe we have more than the record shows. Its just that everything that can go wrong, goes wrong every week. Alot of it can be avoided. Do we lack talent? Yes. But that Texans game showed we have what it takes to be competitive, if they can get their shit together. We have holes in the roster, but I dont think are as hopeless as they look, and thats with any team. Heck the Colts were an absolute diaster and posted a 2-14 record, and theyve bounced back already. We will see how things shaped up in the off season.

lol DuvalDude the Colts bounced back on the strength of Andrew Luck. That just goes on to show how this is a QB driven league. Not to mention they weren't a huge disaster like our team is. They still had a decent line on both sides. We have issues everywhere other than you can say starting RB, 2 decent WR's, though we could use another and our punter and kicker are good.

And Avonjax, KC has the tough strength of schedule so if we both tie at 2-14, KC will get the first pick. I really thought they'd be the Raiders yesterday, but honestly is there a huge difference between the first and second pick. I guess it just depends on what they Jags want with their first round pick. It's obvious that KC needs a QB.
