Good for the Cummer and Riverside!

I really wish the riverwalk was on its way to Memorial Park.  Linking the park and the museum to the rest of the riverwalk would be huge.

So this is yet another large capital expenditure without integrating the Women's Club building into the existing museum??  I would think that the expansion of the museum would be a bigger revenue generator that could fund the other projects than the other way around.

I think they just renovated the Woman's Club as an event rental area not too long ago. If they have regular rentals, along with opening the Cafe to the street as proposed, the museum might start making some more money. I say keep all the revenue generators as is.

Good ideas. I like the direction they are going in.

I believe the Cummer is a true gem! And Thank God the parking is going to be fixed it's been a problem for years.  :)

Dog Walker

Opening up the front of the museum to the street is a real plus and will allow the museum to take advantage of the crowds that pass there on RAM Saturdays.

Really different to see a museum that opens outward rather than looking like a fortress and unfriendly as so many do.  Nice vision.
When all else fails hug the dog.

Given the space available on the north/west side of Riverside Ave., across from the museum, with the assemblage of the surface lots, despite how much many of us adore old growth and fledgling tree canopies, especially in urbanized areas, why not erect a parking structure skinned to sympathize with the surroundings?

"connect the dots" with a pedestrian bridge and garage much like St.V's over King St, south of the ER.
Why is the world full of humans a lot less friendly than we ought to be?

Nagnagnag.
Even a "greeen" parking garage with a living wall& pedestrian bridge  would likely unnecessarily triple the cost of these very well planned improvements.
Seems a more cost feasible solution for where to park the four-wheeled polluter may be in the existing Fidelitygarage, or under the FullerWarren, or maybe at RedCross, the GardenClub, dead end of PostSt, etc., the Y.

When planning a large event, employ a reputable valet service. Pay to charter a "trolley"!
Look into permaculture. Enjoy some keep Max in Jax fresh air and take a walk. Work up an appetite for newly featured cafe menu items which you mayYyyyyyy smartly nowSooon noticefrom the More intensively activatedstreetscene !
