I've heard some people talking about a "meaningless win" since Sunday and how it will hurt their draft position. After Carolina's win last night, the Jaguars are in the same exact spot in the draft (2nd) that they were going into the weekend.

I dont understand people logic with that. They play to win. Those guys are professionals..seriously  ::)  Not to mention that so far, the draft looks crappy anyways. It already looks like a "diamond in the ruff" draft. There are really not many standouts anyways. Were not missing out on anything.

I always assume that the people complaining after a "meaningless win" are probably those complaining the loudest after a loss.

Even though I critique on the Jags flaws a lil' more than I should during a victory, I would never say that the win is 'meaningless'.

No win is ever meaningless! I took a first timer to an NFL game to the game Sunday. He had a great time and kept talking about how great the stadium was and better than Tampa's. He is a student at USF and the Bulls play at the Bucs stadium. It was kinid of fun watching it from his perspective. I think I may have created a new Jaguar fan.

Tampa's stadium is pretty good, but Everbak is better....especially for a college feel.

What do you guys think about people saying that Henne is a another Garrad situation? I dont see it that way. There are some things that are completely different with this situation IMO.
#1-We cut Leftwich and made Garrad the starter. Henne starting happen naturally. Gabby got hurt and we put him in. This situation was not forced

#2-Garrard rarely had to throw the ball, so of course he looked great. We were the typical run the ball, play good defense Del Rio team, with MJD and Taylor in the backfield, there was not much preassure on Garrard do to anything but hand the ball off.

#3- He did not have Shorts and Blackmon to throw too.

Maybe the Jaguars FINALLY got lucky... Maybe not. Only time will tell.

I knew it!!! We claimed Babin! I knew were going to do that. Maybe he can help this push rush some. Mincey cant do it all on his own.

RayJay's got a Pirate ship! No contest.

RockStar

The pirate theme of RayJay beats out our utilitarian stadium any day.

Our fans show up stronger though, win or lose...and we haven't won a Super Bowl yet.

I like the move. See what he has the rest of this season. And if they want, they can trade him in the offseason.

Let's hope this is more like Poz and less like Kampman...

I agree, but even without the trade, we basically only paid <$2MM for an extended try out session.  If he doesn't fit, either on the field or in the locker room, I'm pretty sure they can cut him in the off-season with zero loss, other than what we've already paid him.
