Blackmon and Branch will be fine.  Rookie WRs and DEs hardly ever do anything.  Blackmon's tendency to run his routes nonchalantly is disconcerting though.

We agree on something.   ;)

Ultimately, in my diluted brain, I think that the JB pick was a solid start to the new era - he wasn't your typical GS pick.  I look at it as the first few years we were seriously so depleted that missing on a pick would set us back so much farther than if we went with the safe pick.  It may not get us over the hump, but it won't kill us (Alualu).

2012 was a new regime, staff-wise, and GS took a shot with a playmaker - a position that we've whiffed on a lot more than we've hit in the draft.  So far it's been no bueno, but I believe that it's more of an adjustment than anything.  Don't forget that he was also a hold-out during training camp while we worked on his contract - during the season is not the time to be figuring shit out, it's when they're doing their 7 on 7s in shorts.

It probably won't happen, but let the 3 play out their contracts, and if we start winning consistently, then I can go back and say I told you so.  If not, then... well, you can make fun of me and the money that I spend at the stadium week in and week out.

So I was just reading a wrap up of the interview the reporters had with Mr. Khan today. One thing he mentioned is that the report about the Jags being millions under the salary cap was false and that they are actually 17 million OVER the cap. That's a shame considering our roster really...

But the good things he mentioned was that we currently are up to the 21st in the league in ticket sales. He mentioned that he was a little bothered while he was in London and went to a sports store and the store had every other team's merchandise and not the Jaguars. The sales lady said they were completely sold out of Jaguars merch. He also reiterated that he'd wait till the end of the season to make any decisions about the future of the team. He said he's more interested in fans being happy in the long term instead of just the short term.

I can't overstate it enough; we're soo damn lucky/blessed to have him here.

I think he was just referring to the type of owner Mr. Khan is. We're slowly starting to see what type of owner he's going to be. And we are lucky he's not the Jerry Jones or Dan Snyder type of owner.

^^^My bad, I misunderstood someone again. I thought that he said "blessed to have them here" them as in the Jags. My reading comprehension is shot LOL. Time to delete another post.  :-[ :-[

If we were that far over the salary cap, with no increase in 2013, that would be a disaster. umm isnt that a bad thing? In the offseason it was stated team were to spend to the cap limit. This doesnt make any sense. If we are that far over, were screwed

I could be way off base here, but it would make sense, depending on how you look at it.

We might have the 6th highest payroll for players, but due to so many of our guys not having contracts past this year....   Our salary cap projections for next year would look extremely low.

I've been saying something along these lines for the past year.  And, really, so what?  By next year, there is a spending minimum as well as a max, so it really won't matter either way.

I'll be there as well. Section 216. Im already dressed as I had to come to work today. I had a Jags shirt last night in walmart and a guy ask me, " come on man please tell me thats ur shirt you wash the car in," We both started laughing and begin to talk. He's not a Jags fan, but couldnt understand why they were doing so bad. But regardless Im proud to be fan. Everytime I take a trip out of town I always bring one Jags outfit to wear so I can draw attention to myself. !  ;D

BudZone here (aka Sec. 441)

damn shame  ;D

It's what happens when you buy more tix than you need (3) and you're the only one who wants to go to the games.  There will most definitely be a seat change before next season.   ;)
