Heh, the worst of all is that we nearly beat their "2nd team" as most of their starters were out of the game.....

Nevermind all of those injuries that the Jaguars had.

I'll be brief on this subject this week, but even though we took the L, Blaine outgunned Rodgers on Sunday.  Blame it on the WRs or give credit to the D - I don't care.  Our guy beat their guy and that's encouraging.
A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Touche!  Would have loved to see MJD run all over them.

In other news, The packers and their fans are pissed about the game Sunday. Just got a wank on NFL.com and they are not happy and cant believe they "played on our level." We didnt get the W, but we sure did embarass their ass thats for sure.

Sure was looking positive there for a while though, and a win is a win.

Hey Im having a moral victory tour right now, let me be. But lets not forget, this is the same Green Bay team that kicked the Texans to sleep recently, with an injuried team. So hey, we can look at it from alot of different angles here.

From Grantland.

Ouch on that stat:

"The Jaguars, by the way, are probably the least-entertaining organization in NFL history. Even the good Jaguars teams with David Garrard were conservative, ball-control teams. When was the last time the Jags were really fun to watch? It might be 1999. I know that they just drafted Justin Blackmon, but he's on pace to finish with 336 receiving yards this season. Do you know who holds the record for fewest receiving yards among first-round picks with a full season underneath his belt since 1990? Why, it's Reggie Williams, whom the Jaguars took with their first-round pick in 2004!"

Just watched the 60 minutes and 60 minutes overtime about the locker room. Again, maybe its just me but I didnt see anything that just made me wanna flip my computer over. (shrugs shoulders)  ???

^^^Well you already said that "Jax is not a very diverse or welcoming city" earlier, so I would expect for you to give that CBS report the 'passing grade'. It's all a matter of perspective. DD, did you see the entire feature (excluding the locker room) or just the 1:16 long main clip? IMO everything was said with a negative slant against Jax from beginning to end. I personally think that crap piece of "journalism" was worthy of a toilet bowl. It only confirms my disdain for the national media.

The guy might as well have said "Mr. Khan, you gotta move this team out of Jacksonville immediately" why not? Fact on Byron Pitts (the a-hole who interviewed Khan, and edited the story) he is from Baltimore, a city that is still jaded that the old NFL commish announced Jacksonville instead of his beloved Baltimore for the expansion team. Enough said.

I question the validity of this Reggie Williams "stat".

I guess its just me. I do see everyones point about racist comments part. It was weird how they cited a random comment from some website that could have been from anyone. But other than that, I do not see anything that would make me feel anyone was talking down on the city. Actually, the person doing the interview was wording his questions very tactful. For example, instead of saying " Why did you by such a sorry ass team?" He said "What didn't you chose to buy a more marque team?" The whole thing was actually more about Khan and not very much about jacksonville. I guess it is perspective.

It's unquestionably wrong (and so awkwardly phrased I'm not even quite sure whether the writer is referring to rookie season yards or total career yards).  Shoot, it's not even accurate if we just consider Jaguar receivers.  R.J. Soward certainly had fewer yards and Jones probably did too.  Desmond Howard, Reidel Anthony, Peter Warrick...

IMO, Kahn made a very smart move with the Jags.  Look at all of the exposure he and our team is getting.  If he were to new owner of most other teams it would have been just another franchise deal that fades into the forgotten.  Good or bad, its still press coverage.  Its on us now to show the world that the Jags are a solid football team.  We can only go up from here!

I really like Kahn, but I still think he moves the team to London if the business opportunity proves viable.  He can turn a $700 million asset into a $1.5 billion one simply by moving addresses.  The stadium lease handcuffs become a non-issue at that point.

Forbes did a pretty good job of breaking down the whole NFL team to London thing.

Yeah I said it while ago, there are TOO hurdles logistical, financial, etc to have a UK team. And they made a good point about luring free agents. Heck even the draft picks. It would be a complete mess if they even tried.
