Henne appeared to be a little better when he was down in Miami.  He looked pretty bad today but that's probably rust and a lack of familiarity, more than anything else.  Nevertheless, Oakland sucks.  That's a team you shouldn't give up +20 points too.

I think Henne could be good, but as you pointed out, was rusty and completely lacked familiarity with the first team offense.

I know this will come across as reactionary, but I hope we lose enough games to get the first pick of next years draft. Don't care for Gabbert or Henne.

Although the Falcons just did as well.

I don't think I've ever been this upset about a loss.

Curious as to whether those who have been here since the first season consider this the worst team in franchise history.

It's almost getting too painful to watch.

^^^ The inaugural season, the Jags were 4-12. Right now, I don't even know if we're gonna make that; I dunno about this years team being the worst, but they are on the verge of having the worst regular season record in Jags history.

It's easy for people to play that 'I told you so' fortune teller game, IMO most people around town did not think the Jags would be 1-5 right now, with all of those draft picks, and acquisitions. We could have easily won atleast three wins by now. I'm beyond shocked, numb is the best word for it. Usually, I listen to the 690 AM post game win or lose, yesterday was the first time that I didn't. First Mojo got hurt, so that was obviously a big loss, but atleast we have Jennings to fill the void. Then Gabbert got hurt, on a play that shouldn't have happened, and I knew that Henne needed to make a couple of plays, which he never did.

Henne looked like a 3rd string QB out there, I'm sorry I can not make any excuses for him, he easily got beat out of the starting job performance-wise, and has been sucking in the preseason too; A back-up veteran QB usually have that certain 'hungriness' to start, I do not see it with him. The lil' success that he had in MIA only makes it more disappointing IMO. Just when I felt like we were in the phase of finally being on one page offensively with Gabbert out there. Oh well, there's always next year, this year is pretty much a paper bag year.

I just don't even know what to say anymore. It is the worst I have seen since we got the team. I am really disappointed.

This is really, really disappointing. As someone who has defended Gene Smith before now, I must say it's really difficult to imagine him keeping his job. The injuries sure don't help, but it reveals our total lack of depth and our inability to seal the deal even against bad teams without our starters. I don't remember the last time I was this disappointed by the Jaguars, and that's really saying something.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

Well the Panthers fired their GM today... We should follow suit.

Heading into the season, I figured the Jags were an average 8-8 team at best.  Now I don't know.

Let me put it like this... IT happens! I never thought that having a team that we would be good all the times. The panthers, dolphins, colts, steelers, saints and many other have dealth with terrible good awful  seasons such as this. IT happens!! Is it okay? No. Is it painful? yes. Is it the end of the world? Not at all.  Hell the low we have hit, our counterparts the panthers have hit numerous times, and we are the same age. Its football. Shit happens. It was already tough and the injuries dont help. I want us to win, but Im going to cry about it. Life goes on. I'll still have my tickets and still go to games...even if I do leave early!  :D

I just refuse to let a GAME upset me, like it has some other people. I have a co-worker tell me she was crying. Its not that damn serious.  ::)

Actually, seasons like this are the easy ones.  You're already out of it and you become more desensitized with each additional loss.  By this time last year, I was on the "Suck for Luck" campaign.  Each loss added excitement as Miami and Indy separated themselves from the pack of bad teams falling deeper and deeper into the abyss. My fish ended up screwing it up with a few wins at the end of the season but Tannehill looks to be a solid selection.  What really hurts is feeling you have a super bowl worthy team to only see your heart ripped out year-after-year by Jim Kelly to Thurman Thomas screen passes.  That's pain, I'd wish on no one.

You are so right. I think its easy for me to be desensitized because I NEVER watched football until 2010 when I started going to Jags games. So its pretty easy for me tune stuff out. I absolutely hated sports and thought it was stupid the majority of my life. When the game was over I was like "oh well we lost." and I turned off the TV and ate dinner. LOL

Green Bay 55, Jaguars 10. Rodgers gets pulled early fourth quarter.

This is glaringly obvious that this is not our year, not even close. I think our goal as a team should be to not end the year with one win only. Small goals.

^^ I'd like us to stay in range of getting one of the top 5 picks. I would even go for having the first pick, trade back and get more picks out of it. But I already see people saying that this isn't a great year to have the first pick of the draft.
