I'm so excited I could just puke!

How many years will it take to pay off this construction? What happens when we need to resurface it? Why isn't it pointed toward downtown Jacksonville rather then taking Clay commuters half way to Baldwin to go east? Why would Clay want to destroy the airport possibilities at Lee Field in Green Cove Springs by boxing it in? Why not cross the St. Johns at Flemming Island and hook up with either SR210/Greenbriar Road or 9B?

The only thing worse then building this road is the way they have it planned!

It's never going to pay itself off. You really need to encourage Paris like density along that corridor if you want it to break even long term.

Again, Jacksonville is 10 years behind cities of any importance. The old building model should have died along with economic structure that got us into the 2008 financial crisis. The First Coast Outer Beltway is a holdover to a past dream. Reinvesting and in turn maintaining the value and output of properties already developed should be the main concern of a civic government with the interest of its citizens in mind. Alvin Brown was given the green light to focus the governments attention back to downtown. Campaigning on downtown issues is a big part of why he was elected into office. He accumulated a massive amount of political capital to bring real change to the urban core, and he squandered it. Jacksonville's leadership should not be making such a gross miscalculation as to push for Tomorrow's Town Center in the middle of nowhere. To do so would be killing the culture of this city. Alvin Brown should realize that he is on notice. He has not stuck to many of his campaign promises. We mostly have a pretty face that sold it for the democratic party. Direction is what a mayor is supposed to offer. Instead we get a leader fishing for a photo opportunity.

Because Clay, like Duval, does everything @$$ backwards! THATS WHY ;)

So much for Lee Field being another Huntsville :'(
