Avenues will be fine but Regency will go under without reinvestment and redevelopment.  The west mall is already empty and that Dillards looks like its out of there, just as soon as their lease ends. Personally, I'm in favor of demolishing the west mall if it is replaced with an open air format featuring restaurants/entertainment oriented uses integrated with green space at ground level.

That would be a great idea Lakelander. Who can we mention this to in order to get the ball rolling on making this happen at Regency Square. I do not know much about development because I am in the health care field but I really like seeing growth and development in Jacksonville. I think something like Pointe Orlando would do well for Regency. A BB King's Blues Club would bring in some great business.

Now a Nordstrom to the Town Center in 2014. Come on Ikea, we are waiting..lol

I'm looking forward to Nordstroms entering the Jacksonville market. Long overdue, starting Sept 10th Topman/Topshop (british retailer) plans to distribute their collection at all Nordstrom retailers nationwide. So yes British fashionistas/fashionistos British fashion is coming to Jacksonville in 2014 as well :)

Wow, GJoseph, I had no idea of Topshop's plans.  I love that company so I'm excited to be able to find some of their collection here in Jax.

Saving Regency Square would take three miracles at least.
