Yeah I don't really mind. I was posting it more because it was newsworthy....

I've always been a fan of Jennings.

Rashad Jennings starting RB Week 1.

Most A lot Those of us with some understanding don't look at this as a bad thing.

Has anyone played this scenario yet, MJD doesn't report until Week 10, the Jags are 6-3, 5-4, bring him in the fold over the next 2-3 weeks and he starts hitting full stride on fresh legs in time for the AFC East swing of our schedule...  I won't mind.

I was thinking the same thing buddy. Everything will happen at the right timing. Also, I would like to see Jennings and MJD split carries. That would be a one-two punch (like MJD and Fred Taylor was, on top of our Gabbert to Blackmon connection (and the O-line playing better in general.) and our defense (who will be in its regular season form soon.) Im good right now.

I cant wait to see our new uniforms next year. Khan seems very stylish, so Im sure they will be sharp. WW really messed up our uniforms. I just read an article about how we had the best uniforms of any expansion team and we messed them up. I hope they bring back the Jaguars on the sleeve. That was our indentity. I dont know what the hell WW was thinking. He had good intentions, but damn.

My only issue with the jerseys now is the manufacturer.  I totally despise Nike and refuse to wear their products.  Unfortunately, I don't have much of a choice this year, so I'll be the guy in the Anger jersey with tape over the shoulders, covering the swoosh.

A couple of days ago, I went down to the St Auggie Outlets and got a NFL apparel Jags shirt from a store inside the mall, and a Reebok Jags discounted shirt from the ReeBok store on the other side of the highway. I refuse to buy anything Nike.

This I might have to do.  The only Anger jersey was online.  I gotta represent the Legatron.   ;D

Then again, our first uniforms were Nike and well.. They were quite hot! So I dunno...

Marshalls has a bunch of Reebok Jaguars stuff. I got myself a Posluszny shirt for 7 bucks and my son a Monroe authentic jersey for 20. So if anybody is looking for stuff for the season, that is a good place to visit. Especially for kids stuff.

I don't DISLIKE the new uniforms, but I do miss the old, especially the gold trim (real gold, not Steelers and Redskins "gold") and the cat on the sleeves.  I also thought it had one of the best and cleanest fonts of any uniform in the league.  A lot of fonts are eyesores anymore in the name of being trendy and futuristic.

DuJuan Harris was just picked up by the Steelers!! good for him. He has alot of potential. Its just too much RB competition for him in Jacksonville this year. I always this is the upside of letting someone go. He got picked up by a good team quick. Im gonna be watching him closely.

I'm happy for him.  One of my friends who knows a lot of the players always talked about what a nice man he is.

So there this "perception" that Gabbert cant throw deep balls. As bad as we were last year, Gabbert dropped two bombs. The 74 yard pass to Jason Hill (busted coverage of course) and the 62 yard pass the Lewis. If someone can get deep, I believe Gabbert can get the ball to them. Also, With Blackmon's ability to catch 20-25 yard passes, then run for 15 yards. Let's remember.. this is an offense that is trying to climb out of the cellar. We have to realstic and accept that they will not become a high flying offense, throwing the ball all over the damn field overnight. How important are the deep passes at this point? Dont get me wrong, we do need them for the games when they are shutting down our running game and coming up on the short passes. Thoughts?

I'm not sure where the perception came from because Gabbert has demonstrated a strong arm.  But I've certainly been hearing it.

Here's a discussion going on at Big Cat Country on this topic (in part): http://www.bigcatcountry.com/2012/8/28/3273833/blaine-gabbert-analysis-greg-cosell-nfl

In a nutshell, an NFL analyst is saying that you might not see as many deep balls for a while simply because the Jags have instituted a quick-throw oriented offense (at least at first) to allow Gabbert to better develop his decision making skills.  This is considered a credit to our current coaching staff, and a demerit to last year's.

This IS Mularkey and Bratkowski's offense.  Run, run, short pass.  It's been the knock on them, and Atlanta fans have been hating it for years.  Maybe it's a good thing for Gabbert now, but the lack of deep passes may have less to do with Gabbert, and more to do with the coaching staff.
