If they also install new screens, the LED ligths would be so bright, it wouldnt be an issue. But, I dont care I will be in London or Germany or Ireland or Spain!

[/quot

Well if any you guys/gals decide to come, we should try to get together maybe tour London together. I will be in Germany for two years so I will certainly be there for the Jag games

That right there is the biggest hurdle against this idea. I even LOVE this idea, but the timing and different time zones affects greatly.  If the game plays at night over there in London, you can't see the screen very well during the day over here in Jacksonville.

The screens can be seen just fine during any part of the day.  Strike 1.

QuoteIt is 5 or 6 hours difference between Jacksonville and London depending on the US's daylight saving time.
Being that the games will be played during the middle of the season, we be in standard time.  Swing & a miss.

QuoteIf you want to watch at night here in Jacksonville, when the game takes place in London, the game would have to be started at 10pm GMT for the Jumbotron to be viewable in the dusk / night here in Jacksonville at 5pm EST which is barely pushing it...

The game is played at 9:00 (4:00 here), but again the screen works just fine during the daytime.  You're outta here!

;D Sounds like Josh hasn't been to a 1 o'clock home game... or any home game for that matter.  :o

The 2012 game in London will be played October 28th at 5pm (London) and will be broadcast at 1pm EST

Not sure why they don't play in 'primetime' over there.

I have been to 1pm, 4pm, and 8pm home game plenty of the time, all the back to 1998. There were few times that I CANNOT see the screen on the sun side where the sun is beaming at my seat.

My point is that lot of people won't be comfortable watching the game on the Jumbotron (even on LED) in the bright Florida sunshine which defeats the point of going to Everbank to watch the London game. That's why I suggested moving the London game to 9pm GMT and broadcast live at Everbank at 5pm EST.

I love the idea of the four games in London.  I also love the idea of opening up the stadium for us to watch the game live.  The field would be a great place to stage commercial break antics, musicians, drum line, etc and a nice halftime show.

The jumbotrons are more than sufficient and the new sound system would make your home surround sound jealous!  Imagine a Sunday Night Football style broadcast over the stadium sound system.  Now THAT would be sweet!

I'd even go so far as to suggest some sort of video-teleconference capability where we can see/hear the fans in England and visa-versa.  Kind of like seeing yourself on the jumbotron dancing like crazy during a commercial break, but, all of Wembly can see you too!

My guess is that 10k-15k people will show up and would be excited to sit around a 13" monochrome monitor to watch our Jaguars beat the hell out of whoever they're playing in London with likeminded people.

We're not going to the stadium for crystal clear reception and air conditioning or theatre seating - we're going to cheer for our team along with the other die-hards that are there with us.

Everyone has the option to sit at home or go to a sportsbar or not watch.  We'll go where we think the best Jags experience will be.

Really cool idea here.

Khan really does seem to have more vision than most, if not all, of our local political leaders.

And 4 lucky fans get to play a Madden tournament at halftime - on the Jumbos - with the sound 'Turnt' UP'

NRW,

I am not really trying to beat this idea down. I completely endorse the idea.

My point: The daylight in Jacksonville should justify the time adjustment to 5pm EST instead of 1pm EST for the London game to increase the turnout for Jacksonville's viewing. Imagine 20K+ people showing up at the Everbank Field...

Right.  Because this is ALL ABOUT Jacksonville.

Josh, this is about exposing the NFL to Europe in all it's glory, we should be/are happy that we're going to be a part of it.  The game is played when the game is played.  Imagine living on the WC and having to watch it at 8AM?

The fandom part, I can't help you understand.  You either get it or you don't.

Josh, I've been to countless 1pm games and have never had a problem seeing the jumbotron. never heard anyone complain about seeing the jumbotron either. If the sun is hitting your eyes... turn to the other jumbotron.

Press conference is on now... Goodell just mentioned that he met his wife here in Jacksonville.. interesting.

My idea: We give them two American teams to show them about the NFL, they give us two UEFA Champions League teams to teach us about futbol.  Fair trade in my opinion.
