Now that I look at it in retrospect, Jax should have let that dump the Gator Bowl stand erect for the FL/GA, and the Gator Bowl game, and built the Jags Stadium in another location; Hell, the cost would have been about the same to Everbank Field that we now have, with less seating 65K or so.

^^^This year the Jags are gonna sport them for one home game, more than likely against Indy.

As for the jerseys, eh, about what I expected. I never liked the idea of getting rid of the gold on the jerseys. There's only a smudge of teal in all the jerseys. The black would be okay, but they should've added an unique design, and color scheme. IMO we like too much like a wannabe Raiders, or the alternate Ravens jerseys. I know that I'm outspoken with these jerseys, because mostly everyone seems so gaga about the black jerseys in general. Call me crazy, but I like the design scheme of the new Jags practice jerseys.

The reason the new black jersey look that way is because is pretty much the same design different colors. We can thank WW for that horrid design when he changed the uniforms to give us an "Identity" a few years ago. Our black uniforms from 2004-2007 were the best! I also miss the crawling Jag on the sleeve. oBut it is just an alternate jersey. I believe next year would should have some redesigned, new black uniforms if Im not mistaken. It was said there was not enough time to get them done for this season.

Just wanted to shed the light on the inaccuracy of our local media. This is why I say they are just as bad as the national media. Here's an article today stating last season, the team bought 9,000 to avoid blackout our home opener. (which this was my first time hearing that)

Unfortunately, the Jaguars aren't there yet. Eight weeks before the regular season begins, all Lamping concedes is the team has sold as many season tickets as when the 2011 season kicked off. He won't reveal the actual number.

Maybe that's because, a few days before the Sept. 11 home opener against the Tennessee Titans, the Jaguars had to purchase almost 9,000 tickets to have that game televised. If Lamping's hint is accurate, that might be an indication of how much the Jaguars still need to sell to avoid 2012 blackouts.

The Jaguars sent out a signal that they plan to avoid a TV blackout for the season opener against Tennessee on Sunday by requesting a 24-hour extension.

The usual deadline to sell out the non-premium tickets is 72 hours before kickoff or 1 p.m. Thursday. Teams rarely ask for an extension if they don't plan to avoid the blackout.

The Jaguars had about 5,000 non-premium tickets to sell Thursday, but there are two other ways to avoid the blackout.

So in essence, one article is saying we had 9,000 tickets left and the team bought them. The other article states we had 5,000 remaing so we requested an extention. So which one is true.? Ifwe just bought up 9,000 tickets we would have never requested an extension in the beginning.

This is why I hate our local media. They are just as dumb and inaccurate as the national media. The sad part about that is they have access to all of the facts, I mean they are in Jacksonville!! That is why Im happy Lampkins is keeping the ticket sales numbers to his self. If you haven't noticed, this off season there have been little to no articles about " Will the Jaguars avoid blackouts?" You wanna know why, because we stopped talking about it locally!! Lampkins knows what he is doing. If you dont talk about it, they have nothing to report!

I was more so referring to the city and the Jaguars acting as if they are afraid to address them about the issue.

good to hear! I was pissed when mine werent in the mail on Friday! I wanna know what cool trinket Im getting this year. Last I got the the key chain thingy that says (season ticket holder) and a bumper sticker.

Hmm I don't remember a key chain. I still have my bumper sticker but wasn't in a rush to put it on my car. I have a Jags license plate and frame, so that's enough for me

Well last year I bought my season tickets rather late. It was around July actually. So I did not get them until right before the season started. My coworker got something different as well. We were thinking its because we got our tickets at different times. And its actually not a key chain, but thats why I use it for. Its the thing you can put around your neck that comes with the plastic sleeve to put your tickets in. I just attached to my key chain because I felt it would serve a better purpose that way. LOL

I have a "Jaguars #1 fan" novelty license plate in the front, and a Jaguars tag in the back. I try to stay low key, and blend in at the apartment complex I live, Lenox Court, it's okay, not crime ridden by any means, I basically stay to myself; So I didn't put on the 'Jaguars season ticket holder' bumper sticker; The last thing I need to advertise is 'yeah, I got alot of money' even though I don't.
