....and the bombs bursting in air

Once again, several neighborhoods in Clay County became war-zones as patriotic residents took to the streets to ignite a vast array of colorful fireworks. Some were sober, many were not. It's infortunate that the sale of the powerful, explosives cannot be restricted to only those who will use common sense, observe safety precautions and celebrate 4th (and many other holidays) without placing people's lives in danger.

The powerful, once illegal fireworks can be acquired by any resident who signs a FALSE affidavit claiming the fireworks will be used for "agricultural purposes". This loop-hole in the law places childrens lives in danger. All too often, children are given full access to light fireworks as their beer-chugging parents watch with dulled senses and poor attention spans.

The powerful, air-burst Fireworks should ONLY be ignited by EXPERIENCED, LICENSED operators in areas certified SAFE FOR DISPURSEMENT....and NOT in neighborhood streets after several rounds of beer, with children in close proximatey. The law makers allowing such loop-holes to remain unchallenged are idiots.

Of course Clay County is a War Zone in so many respects.

My wife and I were out on the river the evening of July 4th.From that vantage point we witnessed personal/private fire works arsenal as never before.Even liberal Duval county.

Shoot, you can see firearm offerings with Silencer attachment in the Ruger catalog;Arms makers for Responsible Citizens.
