Has anyone heard that 9th & Main is loosing Tory and his staff due to more head office (Owner) trouble? After a valiant effort to transform another 9th & Main into a place where the locals could enjoy a pleasant atmosphere of great food, entertainment and libations it looks like its coming to another upsetting finish. Thanks Tory for your efforts we will greatly miss you. Thanks “Craig” for Screwing the neighborhood again.

There are some more changes coming. Tory is going to help run a restaurant in Montana with his good friend, and former 9th and Main and Bistro Aix chef Clancy. Clancy just opened a brand new place, and has been wooing Tory for sometime. From what I have heard, Summer will be filling his role going forward. She has been involved for the last 4 or 5 months, and has a very capable resume in the industry.

I don't know what will fully pan out, but I was told that it will be open as usual Thursday Friday and Saturday nights. but lunches are being suspended for the time being. Construction is killing the lunch time business. I don't know about the rest of the schedule. I believe Karaoke is moving to Thursday nights. Tony and Lisa could probably give more details. Friday nights are still live music and as far as I know, mad cowford improve.

This is as I have heard it, and may not be 100% accurate. I will correct, and amend if/when I hear more.

How do we know van Horne is to blame for the revolving chefs?  Restaurateurs are not always a steady bunch.

Well he may not be to blame this time, but it's pretty well documented that he's been guilty numerous times.

Good Lord, can we get something permanent there? I have just given up on anything staying in that location. How ridiculos.

can we give this one a rest?  it's getting a little old.

Its odd that all to gossip I hear is coming from you, and I know most of the players.

There are only two changes happening. Tory has decided to take a position with his best friends new restaurant in Montanta, leaving Summer to move into his position, and lunches are being suspended. No controversy, no "screwings", no drama. Just some unfortunate financial circumstances, a bad economy, and a torn up main street.

I would, but I have already spent far too much time dealing with you being as I am so insignificant. I am also happy to hear that Boomtown is recession and construction proof. So I will step aside, and let you go right back to grinding that axe of yours. Craig evil : Stephen savior. so noted. For the record I am not going to bat for anyone but myself. I simply have a deep distaste for you.

As an aside, I am thrilled to know that you have had this information for a full day, and I haven't gotten any antagonizing or bullying emails yet. Nice work!

By any chance, is there a "user ignore" feature for this forum?

i think this is a GREAT idea!  i don't think the feature is there, but I wonder how hard it would be to implement?  the only thing though would be how then would the situation be handled (by that feature) where someone you are NOT ignoring quotes someone who is ignored?  if the system could pick that up and filter that out as well, that would be great.

You know, I really wanted to post something on this-- I'LL NEVER STOP BEING A "NEWBIE"!!!-- but I'll hold my tongue.

The platforms I've seen with this feature include quoted text from the blocked user when quoted by an unblocked user since the more recent post did not belong to the blocked user.  To me, that is better than reading a thread and stumbling upon a quote rather than scrolling past an entire post.

Don't need a button for that, just don't read the crap..  It's that simple.  Don't reply in the topics they start either.

However, if you want to do the right thing I think this is how to proceed:

0) Enter with an open mind
1) Give them the benefit of the doubt
2) Understand that to many times  people do not understand a post before they spew for the crap
3) Lead by example
4) If all else fails, reach out to them in the PMS
5) Relax

A Topic on the Ground Rules would be helpful. But then again, nobody here would follow them probably.
