Seems that our MAJOR redesign won't come until the 2013 season. The Nike uniforms looks the same as last season's other than there will be a black alternate jersey. I saw the Uniwatch twitter guy say the Seahawks uni's look horrendous though.

I didn't even know this but apparently the Jags and Lions fall under this rule...

QuoteThe team changed its logo in 2009 and is still under the NFL’s five-year rule which prohibits any other uniform changes for the first five years after an initial change.

"What will be different is the technology behind the uniform. You'll see a lot more of the fabrics and the lines and the makeup that you see in quite frankly a lot of major college programs. That'll be the big change for us out of the gate."

All 32 teams will be wearing the “Nike Speed Machine” uniform made from state-of-the-art four-way stretch mesh that’s two times stronger than last year’s jerseys.

“If we hung a jersey on a hanger, it would look like a medium t-shirt,” O’Neill said. “It’s amazing material. It’s a form-fitting silhouetted uniform.”

The new jerseys are 30 percent lighter when dry and 50 percent lighter when wet, according to Nike, than those worn by NFL teams last year.

“I’ve talked to college equipment managers and they said by the time the guys turn in their jerseys after the game, most of them are dry,” O’Neill said.

The uniforms are designed to assist with heat release and core temperature and promote cooling in the lumbar region.

“Basically, moisture can escape but can’t come in,” O’Neill said.

It’s an integrated uniform, which means the stripes along the Lions pants aren’t separate material any longer. Their built into the stretch woven pants with hydrophobic yarns.

The Jags will have all new jerseys in 2013. Khan and the equipment manager have said as much. Supposedly it will be a radical change.

Im not sure why they even made a big deal about it. They could have just said the nike branded uniforms/jerseys are now avaiable for viewing and left it at that. There was no "big reveal" for any team. Definately a falled attempt

QuoteThe Jaguars' uniform shows that there is a wider collar than before. In addition there is a more breathable part of the uniform along the mid-section.

The jerseys are also made of a different feeling material than the Reebok jerseys so the uniforms should be different enough to justify making another purchase of a jersey when they finally go on sale at the end of the month
.

Riiiiight.

Not entirely true. The big splash was the Seahawks uniforms. Those were the only radical change. It appears they upgraded the fabric using new technology to keep players cooler and more dry than ever before... except for the Seahawks of course who won't look cool at all in that ugly mess.

I don't want to.

I fucking HATE Nike with a passion.  I don't remember what happened to me as a kid, but ever since I could remeber I've despised that company.  As an adult, I refuse to buy any product with the Swoosh.  It's Sharia Law in our house when it comes to Nike - the woman and child will bow before the all powerful male.  (Under Armour, too, but not as intense)  Luckily, my wife doesn't like them either, so I don't have to get my ass kicked enforcing said Sharia Law, and the boy is only 12, he really doesn't have a say.   ;D

I just hope all my Reebok Jag's gear can hold out for the next decade or I'm going to be screwed.

+1000

I totally agree, I hate Nike, and Jordans (I know, it's supposedly sacrilegious to say I don't like Jordan because I'm black but whatever). Jordan didn't not give a damn about those Asian sweat shop workers, and all of those kids in the hood that were robbed and killed over a pair of his damn overrated, and overpriced sneakers, JMO. I will never wear Nike as long as I live! I'll continue to rock NFL Team apparel, and my Reebok jerseys.

Who cares, nobody goes to the NFL games to check out the uniforms. If our players stink in Reebok uniforms, I can assure you they will still stink in Nike.

Get better players, then we can complain about the Uniforms later.
And, that $115 will save Jacksonville from financial ruin. - Mayor John Peyton

Looks badass. I presume this is one of the mockups for 2013?
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

Yeah. Other than the numbers on the chest, I like it. I think the numbers should stay white. The multi-colored numbers would look a lil cheesy.
