Being that I believe in our team philosophy, this will sound like a homer statement, but I truly believe that if Tim was given the option between Jax and Jets, he chose the Jets because they probably told his agent that he would have a shot at the starting QB position; while the Jags were emphatic that his role with the team would be something else.

With that knowledge, and knowing his competitive spirit, he gave up on playing for the hometown - a team that was going to move him to TE / FB or even D to playing for a team that would give him a 'legitimate' shot as a starting QB - at least a chance in training camp.

If I were him, I guess I would have chosen the Jets as well.

I dont wanna hear anybody shit about " The Jaguars didnt try and they just let him go." You know "they" are going to say that. The fact that we were trying to compete with him should be enough to satisfy them, although its not. Our savior is not coming anymore so I guess were screwed.  ::)

I feel bad for him. Because of people, there are people like me have an attitude when I hear his name. I see Timmy as a good guy with a good heart, and maybe I know how to seperate my feelings about football and my emotions. He stinks up on the field. I dont care how much of a saint he is, hes not a good NFL QB and the NFL is a business thats about winning football games. There are no exceptions because your name is Tim Tebow and your a good person. Just my two cents.

Dont hate Tebow, I just hate the worshippers.

Well like the Monday after the super bowl, the circus is over.  The entertainment provided by Jaguar nation was great for a few days.  Back to Dolphin football and Miami Heat basketball for me.

It was already stated yesterday that He preferred playing time over returning to his hometown. It is what it is. Im glad we gave it a shot and was logical about it. Were in no position to have two developmental QB's on our roster and hopes one of them develop. He will still be a big presence here and people can still support him from afar.

I wonder if the Jags were even offering him a position on the offense at all.  Move him to LB or SS and let him be physical, also eliminating the QB controversy.

Uhhh, their beloved Gator Timmy-Boy isn't coming to Jax. This is a great day for the real Jaguars fan, and far as I'm concerned, the real fans are the only ones that matter. The bandwagon fly-by-night Timmy fans come and go. Gabbert haters/Timmy lovers, good luck on wishing the Jags to have blackouts next year (yes, some of yall are that crazy) we have a very attractive home schedule, along with two straight years of sellouts! hahahahahaha!!!! ;D

humm good question.

I will say I want Jacksonville to solves its own problems. Seems as if citizens want an easy out or want a miracle to happen to all of a sudden make the city better, including the Jags. The formula is simple, get off ur duff, stop the excuses and put your money where your mouth is. We dont need to Tebow to save the day. We have the power in us to do so. Stop the excuses Jacksonville.

Well being a Dolphin fan I can't wait to see the stink rise out of NYC when Sanchez has his first bad game.  It couldn't happen to a better team.

The Jets like drama. So they can definately handle the circus coming to town. He actually is a good fit for them. I dont think their fans are too happy though. Theyve been calling for Sanchez's, but Im not quite sure if they saw Tebow as his replacements...As the world turns..... LOL

Miami media already pouring it on the Jets:

QuoteTim Tebow and New York Jets are already dysfunctional

The New York Jets made a play for a flawed quarterback with suspect throwing skills Wednesday. Predictably, the ball bounced incomplete.

Tim Tebow still apparently will become a New York Jet after a brief buzz Wednesday that he might somehow swing back to Florida as a Jacksonville Jaguar.

This much is certain: Tebowmania has some whacky side effects.

The contractual yada-yadas delayed the Denver Broncos and Jets consummating a deal Wednesday that would have taken Tebow to New York. That opened the door that he might come to the Jags; finally Wednesday night, ESPN and the NFL Network, citing anonymous sources, reported Tebow-to-New York official when the Jets agreed to pay half of $5 million owed Tebow by the Broncos.

Perfect! The Christian Warrior gets traded to a team with a Potty Mouth coach with a fragile starting quarterback in the biggest media market in the country.

Tim Tebow and Rex Ryan in the Big City is the dysfunctional dance of the decade. Ozzie Nelson meets Ozzy Osbourne.

Speaking of, I suspect the vast majority of NFL coaches would rather channel the spirit of Oz and bite the head off a bat rather than to cave into the temptation of adding Tebow to their roster. Helmetheads will burst at the thought of blowing up their playbooks.
