This says it better than I can. From Paul K the ESPN AFC South reporter

QuoteIf, as a third-stringer, Tebow wound up playing, Mularkey is creative enough that he’d design a package centering on what Tebow does well. Maybe he would use him as a special package change-up.

Would there be a mad rush to the box office upon the addition of Tebow? I suppose, though I am not positive tarps would immediately be taken down. (And I always stress even with the tarps, EverBank Field is bigger than Soldier Field. Should the Jaguars be outdrawing the Bears?)

Would there also be a great degree of resentment among legitimate Jaguars diehards that Khan starts off by meddling? I think for sure.

And the second group of fans is more important than the first.

The people that would come out to see "The Tebow Gimmick" will go away when it doesn’t work. And I simply don’t believe it will work long-term. (Is there a worse scenario than putting tarps back up?)

Adding Tebow certainly could give Smith and Mularkey something to commiserate about -- their boss.

Unity counts for something, right?

And I agree with DuvalDude. You know Tim Tebow wouldn't be expected to sit here and ride the bench while he develops. I'm not sure if you can really develop 2 QB's efficiently anyway.

And yes Doctor K, there's new jerseys coming. Nike took over NFL jerseys from Reebok, not to mention the Jaguars have stated that Black will be the new main color for the team instead of teal. I think they are supposed to be revealed on April 4th.

wow.  I didn't think Tebow was that bad.  Why exactly would it be a "beautiful disaster"  . there have been a truckload of Jags players that were not that great, and well-compensated.   Tebow probably needs more experience but help me to understand why it would be the end of the world if he became part of the Jaguar team.

Timkin its not him, its the tebow zombies in this city. It will be a complete circus if we bring him here. You see how they acted in Denver, only imagine him here! As soon as he gets here, there are going to be billbaords and shit talking about 'start tebow" and if we dont, as soon as Gabbert throws bad pass during a game, every will be screaming "put in Tebow!!" We dont need that.

And if he came here and didn't perform well they'd be screaming at the team for failing him.  It's a no-win situation that can only result in a public black eye for Jacksonville, which I think is a major reason why the anti-Jacksonville sports press is stoking it.

Tebow or no Tebow, I don't see a situation in the next ten years where taking the tarps off makes sense in a market this size.

Glad to see Dan is done with his Christmas shopping, just in time eh. Denver gets rid of Tebow for Manning coming off his what 2nd or 3rd neck surgery? So the Jags should run and get him. Miami vs Denver didnt sell out nor did the Denver vs Jags sell out. Is the world really this boring?

First time I've ever seen the word 'Jacksonville' on the Drudge Report. For whatever that's worth.

I've read the past few pages and it looks like I'm the only one who is actually hoping that we do get Tebow.

If we get Tebow, I get season tickets. If we don't, I'll probably not go to a single game.

Put me in the "Tebow zombies" group.

So your are going to see Tebow? Surely you can make his next book signing and save yourself the trip. Haven't you heard? The parking is just horrid!!!!!!

Make sure you buy through Field. You'll get a free dinner out of it... If you actually do buy season tickets of course.

Guys and girls, it's sounding like we're going after Timmy, and I'll bet we get him. No matter what, I'll see you at as many games as I can afford.

Go Jags!
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

I am not a fan of Tebow but he would be a smart pick up for the Jaguars. Definately put some rear ends in the seats. He could run the wildcat and be a contributor around the goal line with MJD back there you would have a hard time keeping us out of the end zone.

The part everyone is not looking is what if this backfires on us? What is Tebow IS a complete bust as everyone suspects? Then we are stuck with having the QB carosel for years to come. Not to mention a fan would over there heads in anger and fustration. We would have a serious problem. It would split the fan base (Tebow followers vs real Jags fan) and it would cause plenty of uproar wth everyone calling for the franchises head and Khan getting a bad reputation because he had time to make one. We need stability at QB. Until we fine that, we are not ever going to have the success we want. The QB merry go round has to stop somewhere. But I guess all this for the sakes of selling tickets to a bunch of people who care nothing about the Jaguars? Yea its all worth the hassle

Thats if the get beyond dicussions. Dicussion and talking to the Broncos are two totally different things. We will see how it pans out. I for one wont be  a happy camper if it does. It will take me until the season starts to get over it. I'll always have my tickets though. I'll just have to wear ear plugs to the game to black out the Tebow chants.
