QuoteWinning does not equal  more fans, I am afraid to say. Just ask Tampa.

In the height of their Super Bowl window, they had a waiting list(for the first time in the team's history).  Now, they suck again(for a prolonged period) and they're back to empty seats just like the situation they had at the old Sombrero.

Sorry to say, that argument doesn't hold water.

Does no one find it odd, that the team(who is run by one of the greatest quaterbacks to ever grace the earth) that drafted someone IN THE FIRST ROUND now wants to release said first round draft pick just two years later?!?  I mean Ryan freaking Leaf got more than that!

Matt Jones, Derrick Harvey, Reggie Nelson and Reggie Williams(all MONUMENTAL busts) all got more than 2 years.  Does that not sound alarm bells?

Here you go Jacksonville, FL:

I sell season tickets.

If Tebow becomes a Jaguar, buy your season tickets through me(remember, you guaranteed you'd buy them) and I will buy you dinner and wear a Jaguar Tebow jersey while dining with you.

That offer is dead serious.

Here's a rhetorical question - what, over the years, has the Tebow family done to support the Jaguars?

I don't recall their ever mentioning attending Jaguar games, and I specifically recall Bob Tebow as having stoked the fires of the "draft Tim or people might boycott the team" movement in 2010.  I suspect the recent leak of "Tim would like to come back to Florida" is along the same lines.

If anything they strike me as having tried to play the Jaguars to some degree, going back to 2009.

Unrelated P.S.: I think I would pay to hear Duvaldude's Beyonce voice.

Really reaching on this one.

ESPN is saying that 4 teams in serious negotiations for Tebow: Jaguars, Packers, Dolphins, and Jets.

Its also being more widely reported that Khan told the front office to get Tebow.  If he ends up here, is everyone going to sell their tickets? That is ridiculous.

How so?  They don't go to games, but pushed the "Just draft him!" movement.  I don't like that.  That movement gave the national press an opening to make Jacksonville look foolish and like a college town that doesn't really care about pro football.

He was under no obligation to do so, but I wish Tebow had said "Jacksonville's my home town and I appreciate all the people who support my career, but don't forget to support your hometown team too" at some point in the draft process.  It would've carried a lot of weight and nipped this circus in the bud whether we later acquired him or not.

Look at my article I posted. Per ESPN, its SPECULATION amoung GM's that four teams or DICUSSING INTERNALLY or HAVE CONTACTED the Broncos about Tebow. Nothing stated the Jags were negoiating. This is all speculation because no one will confirm who the teams are. Im actually okay with it, as long as we dont give up King's Ransom and ignore the rest of our needs our offensive. If we give up a late round pick to get him on the roster as a 3rd string QB. im okay with that.

PFT's Mike Florio has been saying the Jags were packing up and moving to LA for the last 3 years.  That IS ridiculous.

This season will be a beautiful disaster if the Jaguars get Tebow. I'm glad to say I was there before Tebow and will be there after he's gone IF we end up getting him. Tania Ganguli did confirm the Jaguars front office have discussed it internally. Like someone above stated, it will definitely be because of Khan that the Jaguars go get him. I almost feel he probably feels pressured to go after him now after making those statements in the media a few months ago...

In other news... I'm still excited to see those new jerseys at the start of April :D

wow.  I didn't think Tebow was that bad.  Why exactly would it be a "beautiful disaster"  . there have been a truckload of Jags players that were not that great, and well-compensated.   Tebow probably needs more experience but help me to understand why it would be the end of the world if he became part of the Jaguar team.

Timkin its not him, its the tebow zombies in this city. It will be a complete circus if we bring him here. You see how they acted in Denver, only imagine him here! As soon as he gets here, there are going to be billbaords and shit talking about 'start tebow" and if we dont, as soon as Gabbert throws bad pass during a game, every will be screaming "put in Tebow!!" We dont need that.

And if he came here and didn't perform well they'd be screaming at the team for failing him.  It's a no-win situation that can only result in a public black eye for Jacksonville, which I think is a major reason why the anti-Jacksonville sports press is stoking it.
