GRAND OPENING: Springfield Disc Golf Course (free to the public)

I didn't see this posted on MJ. Sorry if it's a repeat.  But....drum roll please....

This Saturday, February 25th from 2:00 to 4:00 will be the Grand Opening of our shiny new, free-to-the-public, disc golf course in Springfield's Klutho Park.  The opening ceremony will take place at the 2nd and Boulevard entrance to the park.   Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, Disc Golf Clinics, Games, Prizes, Music, Refreshments (home baked cookies!) and Frisbee Dan.

PLEASE COME JOIN US!!

(With big kudos to Kim Heyde for the vision, and her and the team that brought this about, and to the Springfield  businesses and groups that sponsored holes at $500 apiece to fund the project in record time.)

Home baked cookies along with drinks provided by Winn Dixie!!  We have prizes that have been donated by Sweet Pete's, Three Layers, Innova Disc Golf, Stanley Hubbard, Acupuncture Physician and more!!  Did she mention it was FREE??  We will have some of the top disc golf players from the area showing off their skills and providing FREE clinics to the vast majority of us that have never played the sport, including 6-time World Champion and Current World Record holder, Dan Berman.  Don't have a disc??  Don't worry.  There will be discs there for you to use for the clinics and we will have discs available for purchase.

It is truly a sport that can be played by all ages and you can start playing it immediately and the views from the park are really spectacular!!
