Just heard Mr. Khan on 1010XL and he said that the Black uni's will be back this upcoming season and also the Jaguars will be the "flagship" and FIRST team with an all new Nike uniform which will go into effect for the 2013 season.

Also he said that all Black will be the team's primary uniform combo. Teal will become the 3rd color of the team, with Black and White being the first two.

He's owner the team for less than two months and you can see Khan's vision starting. I loved the Weavers and everything they did for the city and the team. But Khan just seems to think bigger.

You are so right Cooperfield. IMO, the vision for this franchise left with Coughlin. Coughlin had a vision for us and it unfolding, but once he left weve been in limbo ever since. WW never thought big on any level. I believe that is part of the reason our organization lacks respect across the league. To me, WW is a nice, old, country guy that just so happen to have some money. Khan is an aggressive, out spoken, visionary who thinks big. I truely believe he is the link we needed for this franchise to really take off. I also feel this will take the city to the next level also. Its time for us to stop acting like the "country".

I like that Mr. Khan has taken up Mayor Brown's offer to reside downtown - albeit on his boat...

The recent T-U story (linked at Big Cat Country) re: Khan's vision of exposing the international business community to Jacksonville certainly sounds promising.
The tourist would realize at once that he had struck the Land of Flowers - the City Beautiful!

Ha, I just saw this on Twitter. Someone was saying "imagine if the Jaguars became the Oregon of NFL uniforms"

I haven't seen any undisclosed pics, so this is pure speculation, but if you want to get excited about a black uniform, think Seattle - they have a very drab color scheme except for thier neon-green accent.

Think a majority black uniform with bright, very outspoken teal accents.

We'll be OK.

I agree. The Uniforms are not going to be completely, entirely all black There will be some teal and/or gold accents in there. And we already have seen the white uniforms. And weve had black uniforms before. Why is everyone acting so scared? LOL this is kind of funny

Should be some good deals on all the old Jag uniform material with Nike taking over the uniforms. Jags won't turn to red uniforms, I hope, no need to go Maryland crazy with uniforms.
And, that $115 will save Jacksonville from financial ruin. - Mayor John Peyton

I wish how local media would grow up. For the third time Khan has been asked about Tebow. The first time on the radio, then the daily record and now by Dan Hicken. I mean really? Khan even stated " I really dont even like talking about this, but I like to answer questions." You could tell he was tired of being asked about it. I know they are driving him crazy with this stupid questions. Like one question asking if the sale of yacht has to do with the purchase of the Jags....Why is that your business!??!??!?!? GOD, our media will never grow up. The run stuff in the ground

For the record, I have watched, met, talked, and observed Dan Hicken in the past 10 years. I think he is little "over the board" as a sport caster. He should retire while he is ahead.

First Coast News is like FAUX NEWS, but with local hypes. They act "smart", but they are really silly and act "dumb".

Hicken and the rest of the local media are just pleasing their customers and fighting for higher ratings.  Face it, guys.  If you live in this town and you don't want to hear about Tebow 24/7, you're a freak. :D

The word, "Tebow" is muted out of my existence. Every time I hear it, the word gets replaced by another sound or a silence. I have no problem ignoring the whole Tebow hype while living in this Tebow-hick-able town.

And I hope they kill this ticket sale crap this year. Thats all they talk about" Jaguar ticket sales" "Jaguars facing blackouts" "Jags moving to LA' And this is our local media! They never talk about anything relivant IMO. I see this way about the tickets, there very few teams that how have a "ticket sales chart" on their website and have a local media regularly reports tickets sales. Who the hell are we answering too? Just run the business, get the tickets sold and be done with it. We act as if we have somebody to answer to or trying to prove a point. Tampa sure doesnt have a "ticket sales chart." Heck, they dont really say much about their tickets at all.

It's good to see that the new owner's making changes:

Jacksonville Jags To Go Without A Head Coach For 2012

QuoteJACKSONVILLE, FLâ€"Claiming that it "doesn't really make a difference," Jacksonville Jaguars officials announced Saturday they plan to play the 2012 season without a head coach. "We took a look at our roster, our support staff, even ourselves as management, and basically determined the difference between having a head coach and not having one to be negligible," said general manager Gene Smith, adding that recent hire Mike Mularkey still hadn't shown up to work yet, and nobody within the Jaguars organization could blame him. "Maybe we'll lose two or three more games, but ultimately our head coach is just going to wind up a scapegoat, and we'd rather not put anybody in that position." Smith concluded the press conference by saying that given its recent history with the position, the team is also assessing whether or not it needs a quarterback this year.
