Jags LB Paul Posluszny hurt his left arm and couldn't continue to play in Week 17 against the Colts.

Bummer, he was a bright spot for our defence..... hope its not bad, though it looked quite painful from what i saw on the field. Get well soon, Paul!!!

Its the last game so I was too worried. If he's hurt, he has a long time to get healthy thats for sure. I just checked and our defense is at #6! I wanted top 5, but the past few weeks have been rough on the secondary, so I will take number 6.   :D Also just watched the news and talked about our schedule next year. Its actually not that bad IMO. Besides the division opponets, we play the Packers, Bears, Vikings, Dolphins, Lion, Bengals, patriots and Chargers. ( I cant remember the other two.) The only games that will be a tough is the packers and patriot. If our offense can produce, the rest of the schedule is winnable. We definitely had a worse schedule this season for sure.

Another decent home schedule.

I believe the AFC West opponent will be SD not OAK, as the Chargers also finished third in their division

btw...the Jags are set to draft at #7

JaxNative68

New owner, new coaches, seventh overall draft pick, new season... look forward to a fresh start in 2112.  I want to witness some playoff football in Jacksonville again!

Just keep saying these words in your head, " Gene Smith, for the love of God, please draft Justin Blackman." Seriously, if Blackman is available at our pick and Gene does not draft him, then I will know for a fact that Gene needs to go.

Agreed. Its a very decent schedule. This season was BRUTAL. Gabby should be tough cookie next season after what we endured this year.

You and me both! 2007 Is drifting further and further away into the past. I want that 1990's excitement back. Its amazing how having a playoff contending team can effect the city. They were show old clips on the news last night from when we first got the team and I was getting chill bumps. That was a high time for this city. I think we will get it right in the draft. All we are missing is WR's and we need a good pass rusher on defense. And maybe a little more beef on the O-line.  I think everything will come together.

Side note-Will Rackley has quietly emerged as a good line man this season. Maybe Gene can it get right with the offense after all.

I think Gene will get it right or he will feel the wrath of Khan! LOL!  ;D

Actually OAK did finish third in their division, so they play Jax, not SD.

AFC West

1st  DEN 8-8
2nd  SD 8-8
3rd  OAK 8-8
4th KC 7-9

Whatever the way (DEN's common opponent advantage or whatever the hell) that's the way that division had finished out.

That is crazy, they all finish with almost the exact same record.! Also, I just read we are going to interview the falcons OC for head coach.

Besides Mularkey (the Falcons OC), we're apparently interviewing Chudzinski (the Panthers OC) and Schottenheimer (son of Marty, the Jets OC)

You're right about Rackley; he has really come on.  Of course, since he's from a small school and got off to a rough start in his first few games, some will forever dismiss him as worthless.

Honestly I want Mel Tucker to stay the DC. I know thats a little selfish, and I know he would be a good head coach, but we need a coach who is offensive minded and can help Gabbert develop. And Plus I dont think no one can fill Mel's shoes as the DC. He is the bomb!

Today's O-Zone made it sound like there were pretty good odds that Mel would stay even if he is not the head coach.

I hope Joe Cullen and Earnest Byner stay on as assistants too.
