Yup.  You read that right.
$16 bucks a sheet.
We are in the process of mothballing 2 homes.
We need plywood for one of those homes to board the windows properly.
We are always in the process of triaging open windows and doors for our forgotten homes in our historic district.
Plywood.
Yes please.
Plywood.
How do you make my Christmas wish come true?
PM me.
Call Carolina Lumber and give your CC number as we (Preservation SOS) have an open account there. 335-7501
Go to our website and make a paypal donation.  http://forum.preservationsos.org
It's cliche, but every piece of plywood helps.
Plywood baby.  I want plywood.
Preservation: and plywood gets us there, at least in the interium.

That's right.  And actually it is closer to $17.00 a sheet, truth be told.

The plywood needs to be 1/2 inch, CDX not the chip board kind.

It takes a full sheet of plywood to mothball a window (insert the plywood in the frame, thru bolted with carriage bolts).  We can use half sheets for emergency board ups.

Cold weather is here and the houses are more vulnerable than ever.

Go local on your charitable donations.  Save your neighborhood.  For every dollar you donate to Preservation SOS, 100% of it stays in the neighborhood.

And Carolina Lumber are good people. You would be helping out a Local Business,
not a "Boutique Box Store" like Home Despot or Lowes

for that $cratch @Norwood, you may find replacement doors!

Love Norwoods. Love the warehouse cats.

Norwoods is local too and like Carolina, they have weathered the crisis.  All of us should be going local.

There is no place better to find that door!!!

Carolina sold us the plywood for $15.00 a sheet.

This week, we have had $270.00 donated for plywood. Looks like Nicole (and all of Preservation SOS) got what they wanted for Christmas.

Thank you!!

1800 block of Liberty, boarded.  Nicole and I went in there.  Not too much damage.  Cute little house.

add another $50 donation to the $300 totaling $350.

And here is some food for thought from Malcolm Gladwell:

"A critic looking at these tightly focused, targeted interventions might dismiss them as Band-Aid solutions.  But that phrase should not be considered a term of disparagement.  The Band-Aid is an inexpensive, convenient, and remarkably versatile solution to an astonishing array of problems. In their history, Band-Aids have probably allowed millions of people to keep working or playing tennis or cooking or walking when they would otherwise have had to stop.  The Band-Aid solution is actually the best kind of solution because it involves solving a problem with the minimum amount of effort and time and cost.  We have, of course, an instinctive disdain for this kind of solution because there is something in all of us that feels that true answers to problems have to be comprehensive, that there is virtue in the dogged and indiscriminate application of effort, that slow and steady should win the race.  The problem, of course, is that the indiscriminate application of effort is something that is not always possible.  There are times when we need a convenient shortcut, a way to make a lot out of a little, and that is what Tipping Points, in the end, are all about."

We triage (our Band-Aid) to save the houses, to protect our neighbors.  We triage to show we care and prove that "this place matters."
