Does anybody have any historical pictures on the Dorsey Bakery (main and about 14th)  now the Kirby-Smith Middle school?  I would love to see some picture of what it originally looked like, including the inside if possible.  My wife's relative was the Dorsey that started it.  Also anthing related to the W S Dorsey general store (where the Omni Hotel is now)

There are a couple of pictures of the outside of the bakery building in Jacksonville's Architectural Heritage.
The tourist would realize at once that he had struck the Land of Flowers - the City Beautiful!

I have the book.  I'm looking for additional photos.

Go in and ask the school. Every school I've worked at has old photos and memorabilia.  They may just have some.

The Jacksonville Planning Department (Ed Ball Building, 3rd floor), Jacksonville Public Library Special Collections Department and Jacksonville Historical Society (archives at old St. Luke's) would be three additional resources worth checking into.  I'll probably visit one or two next week for research on a few different sites.  I'll try and add this one to my list.

I'm now living in Tallahassee, so any help is greatly appreciated.  I just haven't had time to do the research, and it's a bit more challenging since I have moved.
