Thoughts on Fred Taylor ripping JDR to shreds?

I posted in the other thread. Del Rio ran this team in the ground and made alot of enemies. I believe everything Fred is saying. I always wondered why we released him in the first place. Him and MJD was a great duo. And he offered to even take a pay cut and give up his starting role. Del Rio is an @asshole.

Just took a look at Jimmy Smith Facebook, and he agreed with everything Freddy said and stated that Del Rio was the reason he retired early and that he can not stand phony people. I wonder what brunell has to say....

Since I lost all of Jack's money when he invested in my company, we aren't exactly on speaking terms.

One thing for sure, this will be one emotional game Monday for many reasons. The team and the city are wired at the moment.

I love Jimmy, but didn't he retire right after he got popped for failing another drug test?

Im not sure, but whatever the case, he can stand Del Rio. And it seems to be alot of ex Jags that have nothing good to say about him either.

Jimmy retired so that he DID NOT HAVE TO TAKE the drug test. Otherwise, he would have failed. Too bad he loved the blow more than the game.

In the end, I respect Wayne Weaver, but over 16 years of football, 18 of ownership, the Jags had only had 2 head coaches. Compare that to other teams and other owners, I think that his passion for the business of pro football had started to wain. Hence the sellout now, allowing DR to be here 9 seasons.

DR made a lot of money off the Jags and he really only had 1 good year, I'd be shocked if he ever was offered a HC job again, after all he is mediocre, like Garrard in their win/loss record. Who knows, with his Golden Boy looks, he might be on TV soon, might swap places with Gruden or Cowher? Me, I want Jeff Fisher as my next head coach. He wins and he has passion, and if Khan is the hands off owner that others suggest, Fisher would fit in perfect, instead of what he had in Titan land with that meddling owner who forced him to play Vince Young.

I doubt Del Rio thinks very highly of Smith either. In his Del Rio's first season with the team, Smith failed a drug test and got suspended for four games. In Del Rio's first playoff game, Smith dropped a ton of passes. And the next offseason, Smith retires unexpectedly because of the assumption that he failed another test. He's been busted at least once since he retired for possession of crack. I take whatever Smith says with a grain of salt.

I hate to de-rail your Fisher Train, but take note to the reasons he won't be here:

1.)  As much as he'd like to stick it to Bud Adams, he won't go somewhere that he doesn't have a big say in personel
2.)  He has lots of ties in LA, and the Chargers will probably be looking for a head coach after this year.
3.)  San Diego or Jacksonville, c'mon?
4.)  He would be directly competing with the owner for best moustache.  While both are great on their own, I think the competition would be more than he could bear.

Regardless of his personal issues, he has the right to speak his mind, and its the truth! Del Rio was full of crap. End of story.

Oh yeah, EVERYONE LOVES San Diego over Jax, no question. Besides Qualcomm Stadium is a very attractive up-to-date venue. I don't want Fisher here anyway. I love to take a dip in warm water on the beach in the summer, and not get mugged by a MS-13 gang member. I don't get the whole supposed 'Jax is an undesirable city' BS.

Well evidentally it is not up to date enough because they are being required to build a new one and have no money to do so. But San Diego is a more attractive city than Jacksonville no doubt.

You have your sarcasm filter on DD, he knows.

I was referring to the city, not the stadium.  But the angle is that he has ties in LA (home of a new stadium, allegedly)

With all respect DD, that's your opinion. What in the hell does 'more attractive' means anyway? There are all kinda of walks of life out there who like different things. Not EVERYONE think that NYC is the most attractive city because of it's culture, nightlife etc; Many people hate things about NY because of the awful traffic, overcrowdness etc. 'This metro is far superior to this one' like it's a straight fact is all just 'MJ-esque' typical bullshit talk that they got from the Nat'l media.
