Good coaching could help make Gabbert into a good quarterback.  A good offensive line could also be helpful.

I agree DD. He is not being coached AT ALL. Its like he was thrown out there without any guidance. Im sick of Del Rio and coach talk, pitiful ass press conference's every week saying nothing. Del Rio has really crippled this team. I still love my team, I will still keep supporting them, but I AM OVER IT. There was alot of booing today. I usually dont agree with it, but I joined right in. The fans are tired of being disappointed.

+1.

I've commenting along these lines earlier in the season. I don't expect much from Gabbert because he isn't being coached worth sh*t. We have a lame duck coaching staff who knows they won't be back next near. Where's the incentive to coach this kid into stardom? Most of these coaches will be facing this team from the other side of the field next season. Total lack of drive on this team, literally and figuratively.

Coaching is the #1 issue with Gabbert. Our QB coach is Mike Sheppard. While he has quite the resume, he hasn't been a QB coach since 2004 with the Saints. He has spent the last several years as the WR coach with the Bengals. Why on earth would you draft the "franchise QB" and have him coached by a guy who hasn't coached QB's in 7 years??? Why would you not go out their and find the best available QB coach in the league and pay him whatever he needs to bring Gabbert to elite status. This is just one of the many issues this team has with its coaching staff and management.

So nobody talking about the lewis TD Drop?? it can't get any easier than that..

Keith-N-Jax

I believe thats the third TD for Lewis atleast dropped in the end zone, when it rains it pours for the Jaguars. Really tough sitting there today watching the offense. I felt like as I exited the gate somebody should have handed me a check.

So what did I miss today? I've been in Central Florida and they ran the Bills-Jets game instead of the Jags.

You didnt miss a thing. Gabbert was harassed by the Texans defense and was sacked 6 times. He finally melted down and we had to put Mckown in. MJD was the lead receiver and rusher of the game. OH yeah Lewis dropped another TD pass. (do I sound angry???? LOL)

Just watched the Broncos win in a game which was the complete opposite of the Jags game. What an exciting game and Tebow keeps on winning.

Who cares? This is about the Jags NOT Tebow. We get that you like Tebow. Now back to the Jags

Yes, he won against a 4-7 that had dumped their previous 5 games, in overtime. Basically a coin flip. And he still can't throw for nothin'. A win's a win and I like Tebow as a human being, but we'll see how long he lasts before his substantial limitations come home to roost.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

Dapperdan

Let's see how BG does against this same 4-7 team.

If your argument is that St. Timmy would do as well as he's been doing with the current Jags offense - especially if he were a rookie this year, which he's not - I think you're kidding yourself.

Mcown did better with the same offense. I am willing to give BG a proper offseason, but he better show something very early next year.

Mckwon was also benched after the 32-3 blow out he caused in week 2. So he's no better honestly.

Actually Mr Dapper-flapper kinda have a point; Much as I hate to say this, Tim Tebow probably would've been the best QB choice for the 2011 Jags; We have an awful O-Line who can't pass protect to save their lives, and a horrid receiving corp; What type of QB succeeds the most with a pathetic O-Line, and inept WRs? That's right, one who 'RUNS FOR THEIR LIFE' most of the time (Tim Tebow), just like Luke had to 'RUN FOR HIS LIFE' for the first down that led to the last field goal.

Is anyone convinced that any of our receivers should stay on the team next year? I'm damn sure not! I knew that my hunch about M. Thomas was right; Last year good year, this year non-existent. I'm not even convinced that Mr butterfingers himself at TE should stay here next year. Clock management is an issue AGAIN this week. A 55 yard FG with wind instead of punting? Really Jack??? For all of the Blaine-bashers, I'm not sure if a HOF quarterback in his prime would've made the difference, with that bad O-Line, and invisible WR's.

No need to beat a dead horse I guess. We screwed and the team sucks. Im actually over it and had decided not to even commnet about the team this week. This season is a wrap. Lets suck it up and look forward to new management next year. Thats all we can do.

I may be out for the season.

The frachise is completely out of control.

And not in the fun, loveable losers type of way either.

It's a nice fantasy, but the reality is that Tebow wasn't available in 2011. He was drafted in 2010. In 2010 we took Tyson Alualu out of UC Berkley and focused on the defense. Between that and free agency picks in 2010 and this year we've put together what remains a pretty legit defense even with several starters out.

Do you really think St. Tim, with all his limitations, could have really done anything with our offense? Come on.

On the other hand I'm confident Gabbert will improve next year, whether or not he totally grows into the "franchise quarterback" mold we're really looking for, at least right away. We clearly will be focusing on the offense as a whole next year. And this year, we still have a chance to wreck up Tennessee's season and thrash the Colts. That's enough to hold me over to get to the 2012 draft party.

Just curious. How was it the "complete opposite"?
