I think this is much more of a perceived quality of matchup than a market size issue.  Most people thought the game would be a blowout because it was a 1-5 against a 4-1.  I'd imagine the Colts-Saints rating was stinky by SNF standards too.  Lower than normal ratings have not been a pattern in Jaguar prime time games.

One thing I will say. We have a GREAT fan base. We are stucking by them through the rough times and I guarentee that is helping them ALOT. If that stadium was empty, those guys would have given up by now.  Dang Hicken even made mention how are other florida counter parts are struggling to fill their stadium and sales tickets, and we are not. Yeah we get extensions, but on game day is always 62,000 people in the seats. I loved the crowd and the energy Monday night. The fans definately was a condience booster for them Im sure.

It was louder because I was there  :)

Oh okay yeah sure LOL

To add to your point, I think that for use most of our MNF games have been division games, which always seem to be popular regard of the team. But for the most part, if it is no divisional game or two very popular teams playing, nobody is going to watch. To top things off, you can only watch on ESPN if your outside the market. Believe or not everybody has cable. I have cable for the first time since last August.  Ive been out on my own since I was 18 and 29 now so do the math. I could never afford it. And I actually just dropped to basic cable recently.  LOL

A little birdy just told me that Paul Spicer is the assistan D-line coach and has been all season! I had no idea. Also, was just on Jimmy Smith's facebook and he said that he wanted to come back and helped the Jags in anyway he could and was asking for ideas on how he could help. His wife and son even talked to him about it! LOL Its good to see that they are long gone, but they LOVe this team and this city. We desperately need Jimmy right now to help our wide Receivers.

So I said to him: Arthur, Artie come on, why does the salesman have to die? Change the title; The life of a salesman. That's what people want to see.

Good ol Karl...er...Carl...er Paul... :)
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

I got some pictures of Paul during warmups.  I'll try to post them when I get a chance.
