In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

A TU blog says there will be a celebration of the Sharks championship victory Tue downtown.  Anyone have details about this?

That was one of the better games I've seen in a loooong time!  If is wasn't for the kicker missing those 4 field goals it would have been a much more solid win.

I'm already looking forward to next season watching our CHAMPIONSHIP team shooting for the 2fer!  Go SHARKS!

Now let's hope this motivates the Jags to bring us home another title to sit next to the Suns' and Sharks' trophys on the city's mantle!

I was very happy to see this! not really a fan of the AFL, but this good news!! Let's see what the Jags can do for us and this will really be a great year for sports in Jacksonville. (although getting to the SB is much more diffuclt than getting to  the AB)

Not to mention the fumble on the goal line, and the stop on the 1 yard line (looked like a TD) just before the half. That's a potential 18 point swing. Anyway, I'm glad that we won. Congrats Sharks!

That's a good point. I'd have to argue it's largely due to the Suns' lackluster marketing and promotions and contentment with the status quo. That's as unfortunate for the city as it is for them, as we really ought to have a AAA team in our ballpark by now. Additionally, the Arena Bowl is higher profile than the Southern League championship series, and this mayor is particularly interested in promoting sports (if he's listening, it's about time he started plugging UNF's upcoming basketball season :) ).
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

And JU's Basketball Team as well as their football team. Might be non-scholly, but still a fun game to watch.
