Cam Newton has had 2 straight weeks of throwing for 400+ yards... I don't see Carolina being an easy win.

and how many interceptions?

Cam threw interceptions against a Green Bay Packer defense. Don't fool yourself into thinking our defense is on par with Green Bay. And I'm not calling Cam a Tom Brady or Peyton Manning, but we haven't faced a team as of yet that has a good passing offense.

Either way, I think we should start Blaine the rest of the season and go from there. I don't think he would do any worse than what Luke has done.

I agree that next week would be a great opportunity to start the rookie.

And I also think back to just how badly the city overreacted to the week two blowout last season as well.

We're only two weeks ago, the season is far from lost just yet.

Exactly. This is a repeat from last year. Let's just hope we dont have any more. (fingers crossed) But hey here some good news, after yesterday our defense is ranked number 5 in the league so far. Lets hope they can keep it up. Atleast something improved this season. (LOL)

So far our Defense is number 5 after yesterday. (per Jag insider). Believe it or not, our defense is actually good this year. We havent a defense this good in some years. But lets honestly put the Jets game in to perspective... Both teams were TERRIABLE on the offensive. If it wasnt for the last two interceptions and the saftey, the game would have been extremely close. We had Sanchez on the run the majority of the game. But Mckown was just terriable. And we had too many starters out. Will no Hill and Lewis, Luke no one to throw too but Thomas. I knew we were doomed going into this game with the injuries alone.

However, I do agree this is a good week to start Blaine. Against a Panthers team coming off of a 2-14 season and a rookie QB, I think playing Blaine would be a perfect match up. And good match up for us to redeem our self.

Considering every other rookie QB that was picked in the first round is starting for their respective teams, I see no reason for Blaine not to be doing the same. Ever rookie QB is gonna take their lumps in their first season of starting, so we might as well get that out of the way as soon as possible. I know a lot of 'fans' will view this as throwing the season away, but it's hard to imagine us making the playoffs this year. Really I'd prefer that we don't make the playoffs. We need a high draft pick next year to pick up a wide receiver or a shut down corner. Every other team in our division has a big time WR. Andre Johnson, Kenny Britt, Reggie Wayne.... Who do we have on their level at receiver? Please don't say Mike Thomas either.

Mike Thomas is good, but we definitely need more. Every one downs Thomas, but him and Lewis are the ones catching all the darn balls. So I'm not sure why everyone dismisses him. We have Jason Hill and Cecil shorts, but its yet to be seen what either can really do. I looked back at old videos, and Jimmy and Keenan were our top two guys. so I was thinking two good one would set us where we need to be.

And I'm with you about the playoffs. I want us to get our house in order. Bump the playoffs. I want to be the Jags of the 90's, meaning being a consistant team and making the playoff every single year. I don't want to be a team that makes it once here and there, and you don't see them for 10 years. I want us to be dominate. If we have a losing season to achieve that, so be it.

A losing season could net us someone like Justin Blackmon or Alshon Jeffery.

Sounds good to me!

My friend just sent me this on Twitter: (Jets) emphasized coverage, figuring that would be enough to handle McCown and the Jaguars' minor-league passing game.

They certainly are not playing like it.  I watched this entire game.  Newton is good.  Newton made some rookie mistakes but also made some extremely quality throws.  He is better than Vick was when he started.  Their Dee is pretty good.
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

so Christian Ponder is now starting for the Vikings?  That sure is news to me

I would have given your correction more credit had you caught me on Jake Locker.

Our Dee is good too shockingly. I keep bringing it up because everybody has been distracted by our offense thats in Dis-array. Our D-line moved up to number 5 this week. I think we will keep Cam on his toes. But our O-line however, let us pray. LOLOL

PS. WTH is wrong with Kansas City????????????? I have been floored by their two blow outs. They were so good last year! And they had 6 turnovers against Detriot. Yike! However I am pleased to see Detriot doing so well.

Though I think that Luke deserves every bit of criticism he's getting for Sunday's game, the O-line did him absolutely no favors, and certainly deserve their share of the blame for the blowout as well. Not breaking any new ground here either, but JDR needs to go. Sooner than later. The only question is, who can we bring in to replace him?

The only Logical thing I think of is to cut Del Rio, and have either Dirk or Mel as head coach for this season. Then search for a new one in the off season.

Rumor has it Jack Del Rio has sold his home and is renting.

Sooner or later bad luck hits us all.
