And why are we so bent on "selling nationally"?

Turning the clock back a few years, voiding out some zoning episodes would really be helpful for presentation purposes.

Miss those Pier Breakfasts, open shutter windows.........

As to existing islands, that is exactly the image-defined islands separated by broad open water, marsh.
It was only 'natural' that obscure island created via ICW would go without name for so long.

I think the interest is similar to the driver behind Vilano areas opting for "South Ponte Vedra".
What is it about an area that is more comfortable with alternative definition and image??

(In the Vilano case,a hint:Vilano was an official State designated "Blight" area, focus of Department of Community Affairs,Thousand Friends of Florida)

I'd go for "UNTERSEEBOOT ISLAND" Okay, maybe not, how about John Dasch Island? Or maybe Edward Kerling Island? Maybe we could just settle on Buccaneer Island...

Why sell nationally? Hey, keep Dixie Green - BRING MONEY!

Buckethead Isle sounds real pretty.
I'm in in this name! My vote!
Ok, now come up with a "story". Dnt be held back by stupid junk like "facts" or "historical data"!
i. e. everyone knows Abner Doubleday had nothing to do with baseball, but his name makes the game sound good.
We'll start the "legend" with, it ALWAYS works,     "Rumor has it,"
Bucket Head... so thats heads in buckets.... think human massacre, sacrifice!
