Land Clearing off Collins Road

Does anyone know of yet what the reasoning is for all the trees between the east side of collins rd. and I-295 by the "Collins Place Apartments" are being cleared for?

Probably has something to do with the new exit they are putting in there.

Most likely.  I believe work on the new $100 million interchange is underway.

If you live on or off Collins, hope you are prepared for all the traffic this interchange will bring.

The further one retreats north from Clay County the calmer it becomes,generally.

it is for the the C/D system the FDOT is building. Think Blanding/I-295 and Roosevelt/I-295.

A freeway onramp and off ramp are slated to be finished within 1-2 years at Collins road and 295. They are widening to make exit lanes and proper lanes for the extra traffic flow that will influx to that area.
