Since the introduction of "Bay Tree District" name to the poll, could someone unlock the poll and allow us to change our vote OR completely reset the polls?

-Josh
Here is the current state of the poll going to eliminate everything that does not have at least 4 votes and reset the numbers. Bay Tree will also be included.

I stuck with E-Bay...it stands for East Bay (like SoHo, SoBe, etc,) and gives the area an identity...that said, I'm also good with East Bay and The Core

I have an idea for the Bay Tree District.

Why don't we create a program like (buy a brick to be a donor), each donor can buy a bay tree and assign their name to it. The city can provide the property, basic maintenance, while the trees pay for itself, and the people will go!

I did like The Core, but instead voted for East Bay.

Now I'm completely confused (think I need some SOCO to straighten out my brain) I've had an Bay Street epiphany. Oh God, just came up with another one so we'll have to ask Jeffery to allow us to change votes and keep adding names throughout the poll. Anyway why a "District?" how about "The Marine Quarter" or "The Maritime Quarter?"  Certainly describes what it has been for the last 180 years having history and a theme like this would help market everything that goes into the location. Maritime of course for the men and their ships that helped build Bay Street in the first place. Quarter gives the feel of an international city, IE "The French Quarter" in New Orleans or "The Spanish Quarter" in St. Augustine.

Think as in, "Those who go down to the sea in ships..."

I will again lobby for my choice, "Alabama Hot Pocket".  It means basically the same thing as E-Town Zone but sounds way more funky.

I just chuckled at that so much. I am an Alabama native (well I was born there).

I keep mentally referring to that area as the East End and then over by 331, as the West End...

"Downtown Jacksonville Entertainment District"

Downtown Jacksonville E D.

I don't like those two initials. Think about it.

I like this! At least the East End part.

Wow - maybe that's the most appropriate name after all!  ::)
