I sent an email to jaxfountain.org about the height issue.  The said they were unsure if it would be as high as it used to.  I really hope it does because that seemed to be the whole point of the thing and for 3Mil you would think it doable.

Of course they did - hyperbole.  But give me 3 million & my back yard & I'll build a pretty sweet water feature too.   ;)

But also remember, the 3 million was just to update the fountain, everything else was already in place and paid for. This fountain could not be built for 3 million if they had just started with a patch of dirt. The infrastructure was already there.

Until the fountain quit and was not repaired, every picture of Jacksonville in a national publication or on television featured that fountain at night either as foreground or in the distance.  It was iconic and widely recognized.  We missed a major opportunity for national exposure by not having it fixed by the Super Bowl.

It's going to be great to have it working again.

Man, that thing used to be amazing when the center fountain rose to full height!  I hope, hope, hope they'll restore that.

Well have have three nationally televised games this season. So it will get some much needed exspoure

I beleive it was working for the Superbowl.
